This is the 3rd time we've been to Bakerswell, and once again, not disappointed, loads of room for all, kids, and adults, smooth transition from entry to departure.
A perfect space for a large group. Loved this quirky house. Big enough to have everyone together but some good spaces to get some alone time. Walkable to beaches and shops. There were lots of lovely touches. Nice to have some modern appliances too.
Having read previous reviews about Bakerswell House we arrived full of anticipation for our family gathering over Christmas. We were not disappointed. Everything from the Christmas tree and decorations to the welcome pack waiting on our arrival made our stay like a home from home.
Beautiful house with plenty of room for 7 people or more. Great location, I would imagine especially in summer. Lovely and clean. We would all love to go back another time.
Bakerswell is a surprising house with extension accommodation that you wouldn't guess at on arrival - it stretches way back and offers lots of space. The parking is a bit hit and miss but there's usually space to unload before exploring the nearby streets for an overnight or longer term parking space. There are plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms over three floors so it's ideal for a group or multi-generational break as everyone can claim their own sleeping area and adjoining bathroom. The kitchen is the real wow - light, airy and loads of options for seating a large group. The real win though, is the location, Anstruther is lovely and there are so many beaches, walks and visitor attractions close by - St Andrew's is only 20 minutes by car, and there are so many other golf courses within a few minutes that it is hard to count. We loved the farm shops, beaches and coastal trails. Highly recommend the area and Bakerswell was just right for us.
Great accommodation. The kitchen area and balcony area are fantastic for get togethers. Photos on site probably do not do the place justice. Bedrooms: basic - but scrupulously clean. Toilets/showers - nice and modern. TV in kitchen would've been nice as I slaved over those cooked breakfasts.
