Love this place for both eating and staying. Rooms are lovely, cosy, immaculate, huge, and the huge bed spool comfy. Food is fab. Mussles yummy, Chicken wrapped in bacon delicious and hangover dessert lush!!! Breakfasts are great. Tasty and filling, and not greasy or fatty. Will return! Staff very friendly and very helpful.

Room Tip: Can be wee bit noisy at front of hotel when pub comes out.Would still return.don't have fitness...

Itison voucher given to friends as a gift to celebrate their engagement and they had a great time. My interactions with staff re the booking were universally positive. I'm looking forward to going myself!

Our friends thought:
"The hotel was great.
Room was enormous with comfy bed & great bathroom.
Food was good too.
Staff were really friendly and helpful and even came in earlier this morning so we could have breakfast early before heading back to Edinburgh.
They were also kind enough to swap the Friday-Saturday booking for Saturday-Sunday which was a total bonus.
Great wee spot with lovely views over the Firth.
Would definitely go there again."

We visited with an itison deal and were blown away by the standard of accommodation, the service and the food quality. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Every member of staff was friendly and efficient creating a wonderful warm atmosphere. I can't recommend The Bank enough.

having stayed in many hotels in scotland , i would rate this one as the best ! , excellent rooms , the staff couldnt be more helpfull , and the food was outstanding ! , if you are going to book a room here , my advice is to book room one , it has a lovely view out across the old harbour and over the sea to berwick , the room itself is very spacious and has all the modcons , the bathroom has a separate large shower and a spa bath , ideal for sore backs or just to relax in ! . if you want to go exploring in the east neuk of fife , this is an ideal launching site , , elie , and pittenweem are but a few miles away by foot, or by car to st andrews . and the great thing is after visiting these places , you can travel back to the best hotel in the east neuk , and relax with a bier or a glass of wine in the warm and relaxing bar . honestly great experience in this hotel ! . top class ! .

Room Tip: room one is the best . zimmer eins ist das beste

We stayed here recently and would have to say its one of the best we've stayed in (and we love a minibreak weekend). The hotel has no allocated parking and whilst you might get lucky and park out front we didn't so parked round the back by the sea (could see hotel from car park) with a quick 5 min walk round. Could not fault the hotel or the lovely manager Sam who had taken our booking and also checked us in. We had the room at the front which I will agree with others is noisy with passers by and also other guests coming in but nothing a pair of ear plugs can't sort. This must be the family room as it has a twin (bunk bed) room as well. Big bath with plenty of hot water and gorgeous toiletries and fluffy towels. I personally slept really well on the giant bed and the room was spotlessly clean (my hubby slept less well but he is a funny sleeper). The food was fabulous, both our evening meal (we had a chippy the following night) and our breakfasts.

We've booked to go back already and we're really looking forward to it. We did a few things in St Andrews last time and plan to go to some other local attractions (including the wee chippy) on our next visit. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: If you get the massive room at the front and are a light sleeper take some ear plugs as it is a bit...
