Stopped in for lunch on Christmas Eve with family. All of us bar one had the Turkey which was impressively presented on wooden slabs with a Truffle infused Mash and sprouts and carrots. The mash was excellent, and I liked the veg, although there was 1 complaint of the sprouts being a bit too 'al dente'. The turkey was very high quality and there was plenty of it.

There was 1 of our number who elected for a burger instead and they were very complimentary of it as well.

Have eaten here before and the food is consistently of a high standard, and the staff are also always very friendly and attentive. Always a good sign when the chef asks how everything is, shows he genuinely cares.

Glad you enjoyed the Turkey, chef cooks it in a water bath which is why it's so moist. Sprouts crunchy or soft? Thank you for your continued support and feed back, I hope you have a great 2014 and I hope we see you soon.

Rooms very tired and very dated
Bathroom with a very weak shower
Breakfast was small but tasty
Didn't eat here on an evening as it was quite pricey and being there for work I was on a budget but there was a sign outside saying the restaurant was AA rated four stars

Stopped in for lunch with my wife. The staff were friendly and efficient. A lovely menu choice of bar and restaurant, we opted for the Fish pie and fish and chips. The Fish pie was without a doubt the best I've ever had. We only had a quick visit today but will be returning for an evening meal. Very impressed.

We stayed on an Itison deal for bed and breakfast, which was very good value, the breakfast was delicious-buffet style continental with chef cooking to order. We both decided on Eggs Benedict, which were delicious.
We also had our evening meal at Ducks, which I would highly recommend for the quality of food on offer. Some may say small portions, but it allowed me to have three courses, for a change!
The only let down was the room, which was a little tired and also quite noisy, we could hear doors and floorboards and neighbours most of the night!
