“Top class all round”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

We are lucky to have this eatery and shop locally, as it it a pleasure to visit like I do with my Mum, on a fairly regular basis as a wee treat, the shop sells top notch quality goods and lady's garments along with a food and gift section, the books on sale are really exquisite, top marks to the person selects them for sale, the place is a joy to visit, the food is fantastic and is open from 09.30 am, there is a carvery section and the cakes on display are to die for, you will never be let down here, the service from the staff a joy. Try not to bypass this place, even it is only for a coffee or a brunch, you will love it. Well done to House of Darrach and their high standards.

“We were lost and hungry...”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

... when we came across this place, an unusual shop/ restaurant/ gallery combination. We walked through the shop to get to the restaurant.

Food was good (Scampi and Burger) food came in good portions, the burger was well presented, it was served on a thick slab of wood, and chips were in a mini-fryer looking cage.. All the staff were lovely too.

There are other food options too, there was a leaflet saying they do carvery everyday, when we were there I think there were gammon and chicken. There is also a cake corner with at least 7 things to choose from, shame we were too full after our mains.

Always make a point of driving to the House Of Darrach while home on Holiday from Canada, was there recently for lunch with my husband and have a lovely lunch and then spent a good hour in there shop. The staff in the shop and Restaurant are very friendly. Love the friendly dog that greets you at the door.
