“Magnificent food but dreadful service.”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

On our call here we were met by quite a rude and abrupt young man who did not attempt to appeal to us anymore throughout our visit. He was very sharp and unpatient, but there was a lovely waitress who was just super! The food was brilliant though-some of the best around, especially the delicious open sandwiches!

“Overall - an average experience.”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

The restaurant is very pleasant - service is very good. The meals I have had in it are average. The Open Prawn Sandwich was average - very little salad and expensive for what it was. The tomato soup was very like a well known brand out of a tin. The pate was again average - not a great salad with it. Overall - average and could be much better.

“The most perfect late Sunday lunch...”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We ate here just before Christmas last year and were blown away by the food. Perhaps it was because I'd only ever been in for a coffee and scone and had the mindset that it was a glorified coffee shop - but what can I say? The service and food were second to none.....even my fussy husband declared it was one for the best meals he's ever had. We opted for the set 3 course menu, which was great value and while it didn't have loads of choices, there was certainly something for everyone. A nice bottle of red, and the view across Comber Square on a wintery afternoon added to the overall ambience - it almost felt like we were having dinner at a friend's house! The staff were very young on the whole, but could not fault them, they were courteous and knowledgeable when asked about various dishes. The food itself was yummy! My husband's steak was melt-in-the-mouth, cooked to perfection and served with very more-ish dauphinois potatoes that you could have eaten on their own! My own salmon was light and flaky, again just perfect. Would thoroughly recommend The Georgian to anyone who hasn't tried it before......it's definitely more than just a coffee shop! (although their cinnamon scones are also rather delicious!).

“Xmas voucher”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Got a prezzie of a voucher for the Georgian House and went along. The interior is great, warm coal fires lit in both dining rooms and also the food was marvelous. Had prawns as a starter and steak as main course. Both marvelous. Sticky toffee pudding to finish also great. Very comfortable and the staff were great.

Parking in square beside restaurant and also in general area. Situated in middle of village.
