We got a tour from one of the local enthusiasts and he was very friendly and very well informed. An interesting gun emplacement which is in first class condition. Wonderful views over Belfast Lough. The little museum is full of WW1 and WW2 memorabilia and very interesting. It is indeed a hidden gem and we'll worth a trip.

This is fantastic little site, which is also free to enter, the guns and their emplacements are still in place together with the supporting buildings and infrastructure.

Having just visited Normandy this site is a lot better preserved than some there which have a much higher profile

Well worth the time to find it.

I love Grey Point. Its secluded and has the best view of the North Down shore. The fort is very interesting with regard to the war. You can acccess it from Seahill as well as Helens Bay. Personally i prefer the walk from Seahill and then you can enjoy the views and the seating and have a picnic.
I love it.

I had found this attraction on TripAdvisor and the wife and I thought it would be a nice day out especially with the nice weather over the last few weeks. The attraction itself is very good and we ended up spending a couple of hours walking around looking at the various elements, the onsite staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and took us on a guided tour of the radio room.

The picnic area is split into a shaded and un-shaded areas and both are lovely with picnic tables (some with BBQ stands).

This was a lovely day, very peaceful and we are both going back there again.

Great place to relax, bring a picnic. There is also a museum there which is dedicated to the war effort. Very interesting. Bring your camera. Its a day you will remember and its free. Well done to whoever is responsible for its upkeep.
