Can't believe I live so close to this hidden gem and never been until now! Absolutely gorgeous! Great for families as the kids can play in the garden and they are so accommodating with what kids may want! We were there for coffee and scones and ended up with cake too and it was delicious, all home made! Will definitely be back very soon x

We rocked into the Red Door tea room when the kitchen was already closed...we were both starving after a longish day of walking(and sitting on hills and rocks and grass banks etc)...but figured we could survive on a few slices of the lovely cakes/pies on offer instead. However...Joanne insisted on making us up some fresh chowder. Honestly, this lovely woman, who had been flat out working all day insisted on making us some chowder. We tried to argue but she was having none of it. So whilst waiting for our chowder we chatted to her as welcoming husband...then we met her son (who also works there) and her mum(who is adorable)....The chowder was excellent...we also had some dessert, equally as enjoyable...and...there's more, they were as happy for us to sit outside for as long as we wanted....honestly, it isn't often you get to experience this welcome and level of service. These guys are so genuinely lovely and they are obviously passionate about their food xxxxxxx We loved it all x

Had lunch at this beautiful tea room. Nigel and Joann were the perfect hosts. Lunch was yummy and the Lemon Meringue Pie was to die for (Aussie expression for fantastic). All other cakes looked magnificent. The outlook scenery was awesome. Do yourself a favour and stop in at he Red Door Tea Rooms when travelling down the coast road in Northern Ireland.

This little cottage just oozes charm! Situated up a short lane from the road down to lovely Ballintoy harbour it is well worth arriving hungry and stopping off for lunch or coffee and cakes.
Décor is tasteful vintage without being over the top or cluttered.. The interior is bright, fresh and clean and there is plenty of outdoor seating in the neatly kept garden to enjoy on those sunny days.
The staff are wonderful... they are welcoming, genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is delicious, mostly homemade and using the best of local produce - their fish chowder and breads are to die for.
I have been back quite a few times while touring in this area and I am never disappointed.
