“Stunning Location, and modern hostel”
Reviewed June 24, 2011

This Hostel regularly scores in the top 5 best hostels in the world, which has everything to do with its stunning location rather than the facilities of the hostel itself, no matter how modern and welcoming they are. It is perched on a glorious beach on the North Antrim Coast with amazing views over the Atlantic Ocean, and stretching towards Scotland. Giants Causeway and numerous National Trusts sites are within 30 minutes drive of the hostel

Stayed for two nights with sons and had a fantastic time in Antrim. The location is amazing, walk down a small cliff face to a white strand beach, no kidding the cows really do come down to the beach.Best beach in the area for seclusion.
Can't say enough good things about this hostel, its the best I have stayed in ..... ever! From the welcome to the cleanliness, to the breath taking views across the north Atlantic. Met some very interesting hostellers so it obviously attracts solid people (as in no messers). Plenty of books and mags to read, well appointed layout including a tv room. Plenty of literature available on things to do in the area and very knowledgeable staff. Loved our two days! Thanks again to the staff.

Recently we travelled around Ireland, staying at eleven hostels/hotels.This had the best views. A most obliging staff, and a great start to our holiday. Certainly no complaints from us.Pity the whole of our visit to this beautiful island wasn't as good accommodation wise.

On a recent cycling trip my friend and I decided to stay in Whitepark Bay. It is practically on a wonderful stretch of beach. We arrived with little food and had had no luck buying locally, but fortunately the hostel can sell you basic items and offers a breakfast deal, which was great. The room and bathroom were functional and clean, and we ended up having a 4 dorm to ourselves. The hostel is modern, colourful and purpose built and as a result has a large kitchen, a couple of lounges and a dining area. We were also offerred storage for our bikes overnight.
We had planned a late afternoon trip to the Giant's Causeway and the manageress suggested we ate in a restaurant close by , which turned out to be a good recommendation. We made it back to the hostel in time to watch the amazing sunset from the lounge window.
We were served a lovely continental breakfast in the morning which was a perfect start to the day.

I can't say enough about this hostel. Stunning location, very clean and comfortable with great facilities and excellent value for money. I travelled with my two teenage children and stayed in an ensuite room for 4 which was very cosy but there is plenty of space in the lounge, dining room and TV room as well as the outside eating/seating areas, all of which have amazing views of the sea, beach, hills and harbour. It is an ideal location for exploring all the main attractions of the Antrim coast.
The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Looking down from the hostel onto Whitepark Bay is a wonderful experience even on a drizzly, rainy day.
The common room and the kitchen are spacious. 4 of us were in a 4 bed dorm. There wasn't too much space there but it was ok.
Staff was very informative about the area and you can grab a lot of leaflets about nearby sights around reception.

My cousin and I were traveling around Ireland last year and on our last couple of nights we chose to stay in the Hostel. I'd never stayed in one before but i found it to be a good experience. The staff were helpful and friendly, it was spacious, good facilities, clean just all round good! Theres a couple of good places to eat just two minutes down the road, the surrounding attractions are within walking distance too. I enjoyed my time here.
