We shared a wonderful girlie get together at Fratellis on a mild summers evening. The restaurant was packed & the atmosphere lively with a good vibe. Our server was very patient as this was our first visit after a recommendation from a relative. We had a gluten-free & a non-cheese eater & the waitress was most helpful in our choices. The tapas style starters went down very well & 6 was ample between the four of us;duck terrine x 3 ,garlic prawns x 2 & a fig with parma ham to suit our dietary requirements. Amazing! For mains we all had pasta, chicken arriabeta, lasagne & reular & gluten free seafood linguines. We shared two sides of rustic fries & everybody was more than well satisfied. The evening ended on a high with expresso sized desserts; just right to complete the evening on a high.We had tirimasu ,chocolate & raspberry poys & 2 portions of pistachio & amaretto pannacotta. Delicious! A lovely change in beautiful surroundings. The Monday special 2 for 1 on mains made the resulting bill a pleasant treat.

This is our second time staying at Galgorm & again we had such a lovely time!

The staff are all so friendly & nothing is too much trouble, in particular the young chap at reception - Joe who was very accommodating & helpful!

The Thermal Spa was brilliant - so relaxing with a lovely atmosphere!! Would definitely recommend to everyone!!

We had food at Gillies & it was beautiful, followed by cocktails & drinks in The River Room which was lovely looking on to the river - the cocktails were gorgeous! Staff in both Gillies & The River Room were top class!!

We had such a lovely, relaxing experience & would recommend to everyone!!

Thank you all for another great Galgorm Experience!

First time I have stayed here found it to be excellent in all areas from check in to check out I could not fault this Hotel , the only gripe I have is the live music in the bar area was way too loud otherwise a very nice place to relax.

Room Tip: Choose river view , so relaxing to wake up to the sound off the waterfall.

Had the most relaxing stay here. I only live 5 minutes away but felt i was in a different country. Rooms beautiful, spa facilities amazing and meal gorgeous. Breakfast had such a variety that we could have stayed and ate all morning!

Other reviews are spot on about spa, food, grounds etc. We have been before a couple of times but have always stayed on a Sunday night overlooking the river. This time we got the last superior room on the car park side and the music from the beer garden and it completely spoilt the trip.

We went for a relaxing spa & lazy evening granted Saturday night probably wasn't the best night to choose for this. What I didn't expect was a full on disco in the outside beer garden which was about 100 meters from our room. The music didn't stop until 1.10pm long before this I would have gladly packed up and went home if I hadn't had a couple glasses of wine. There are only so many times you can listen to Tina Turner & Grease songs complete with hand clapping before it slightly starts to grate.

I told the lady on checkout who did apologise which is pleasant but doesn't really change the experience any. I pointed out I wouldn't have minded it if I had been told when booking the room we were close to the beer garden and they have music on a Fri & Sat night. At least if I was prepared I could have choose to either stay up later or bring earplugs.

One of my favourite aspects of staying at Galgorm is getting up early to use the spa before check out but this time stayed in bed to try and catch up on a bit of sleep.

I'm probably just too boring and should have been down joining in but I thought I would write a review in case it is of any use to someone else.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep do not stay in superior room overlooking the car park without ear plugs. You w...

My sister, her sister in law and my niece had afternoon tea in the River Room. A pleasant experience and thankfully slightly cheaper than the website had advised. The only negative thing I would say is if they are trying to create a tea party experience they should use a real china tea service. The crockery used was a good imitation but china would be so much better. Think Bettys tea room in Harrogate. Food was lovely and we had a great table with a view of the river. Will be back.
