Fantastic hotel and gorgeous restaurant.
The only downside was the room was front and side facing making it sound like you were on the edge of Brands Hatch when the traffic started in the morning. Couldn't be helped but not very relaxing!
The barman/waiter/breakfast person was absolutely fantastic and really made the stay worthwhile.

We booked this at the last minute as a short break for our honeymoon. Crystal, the receptionist was extremely helpful and the manager very friendly.
However, we checked out within a few hours as it just wasn't what was expected as per our view of the website. We had booked the honeymoon suite and the first thing we did was pick up the dead flies on the floor, although the rest of the room was clean. It was very cold and we couldn't close the bathroom window.
We decided to go for a walk to see what the area was like. Its situated on a very busy A-road and many lorries thunder along this road. At this point we decided that it wasn't for us.
The told the manager the truth and said we would pay for the night, but we wouldn't be staying for the full break and we were heading to Bournemouth for some civilization. He was very good about it and wouldn't let us pay for the full night and could fully understand that it wasn't for us.
If you're going to stay here, make sure you have a car as if you don't, its too secluded to do anything else but stay in the hotel all day!

We would really recommend worgret manor, its a very country style hotel with very warm and friendly service the manager Harry made the stay! Breakfast is nice, perfect to set you up for the days adventures. We stayed in the 4 poster bedroom which was clean and comfortable. overall a very pleasant stay which we would visit again.

We stayed at the Worgret Manor Hotel over the August Bank holiday weekend. As regular visitors to the area we decided to give this hotel a try after reading the good reviews on trip advisor.

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed by the service we received literally as soon as we arrived. We were very pleased that we could check in anytime after 11.30am (which is early in our experience of hotels) but on arrival we were ignored for about 10 minutes at reception as there was only one person on duty (and they were busy on the phone). Furthermore when the member of staff then acknowledged us and showed us to our room, she did not explain anything thing about the hotel i.e. breakfast times etc and also the reason why we had two keys. We subsequently found out these details by asking at reception afterwards.

The room itself was very nice, very clean and tidy. The bathroom was of a very good size but we only had one bath towel between the two of us which seemed odd for a double room?

The straw that broke the camels back was the service at breakfast the next morning. We were shown to a table but then the waitress ignored us for 15 minutes before taking our order (finally!!). The only thing that made up for this was that the cooked breakfast was good. On our second morning we sat on the other side of the dining room and were noticed and ordered almost straight away, but a couple who made the same mistake as us (i.e. sat on the right hand side) the day before looked slightly annoyed that they were similarly ignored.

Overall the hotel is very pretty and has lovely surrounding towns and attractions to visit, it is just a shame our treatment made us not enjoy our stay as much as we would have liked.

Stayed here over the Spring bank holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. Good sized rooms and great staff, the manager was very helfpul.

We had a room on the ground floor with views of the garden. The hotel has a restaurant attached and this is where breakfast is served - they also have a good menu.

Breakfast is included and was just what we needed after plenty of walking along the South Coast.

The hotel is pet friendly.

This hotel is 5 minutes drive from Monkey World, Lulworth Cove etc. It is on the outskirts of Wareham which is a nice place to go in the evening with a few restaurants.

Overall, a great stay and will book here again when we return to the South Coast.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in August 2005 and had a really nice time. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Staff may not have been there after 11pm as previous review has moaned about, but then if there was an emergency we had a phone in our room...just like we do at home, where we don't need anyone to hold our hand if there was an emergency!!!! Very poor review if they are trying to put people off just for this.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone if you are looking for a quiet, clean and friendly place to stay in a fantastic part of the country

We stayed at this hotel in January while visiting Monkey World, which is just up the road. We had a great time, even though the hotel was almost empty whilst we were there. Our room was large and clean. The staff were friendly. They did leave the hotel after 11.00 pm, but this was not a problem for us. The hotel is very child friendly. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. We intended to eat in the hotel just once, but could not resist a second visit because the food was so good. The chef is excellent. Overall our experience was very positive.
