“Welcoming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2013

Had Sunday lunch here which cost just over a tenner for two courses. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I thought that it was good quality pub food t a reasonable price.

“OK - as long as you don't have children”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

This is an OK pub / restaurant; food is quite nice although pricing is a bit skew (steak good value, some regulars / specials widely over priced), good location and staff friendly ... But don't come here with children as they are not welcome (well at least inside). This may attract people who want a child free meal but if you are a family - avoid!

“Well run, friendly pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

We had a Sunday lunch here with friends. £10.50 for two courses (roast and dessert) was very good value. Food was good quality pub food (I.e not gourmet cuisine), service friendly and efficient, good value for money and we would visit again when next in the area.

“Welcoming country pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

This is the second time I have visited this pub/restaurant and what's recall from it last time, very welcoming, large choice on the menu, was still the same. The landlord is lovely, very chatty and welcoming. The food is good English pub grub with one or two specials that make it worth a visit. Last year I had a pork apple and Stilton dish which was on the special menu still and on my recommendation several of my friends tried it and loved it. I had a smoked salmon and prawn risotto which was enormous but delicious . We will no doubt visit again same time next year and it will be just as good.
