“Just bizarre!”
Reviewed March 17, 2012

After just visiting Minsturs for High Tea as a treat for Mother's Day I am left wondering 'what on earth just happened?' We were served luke-warm Iceland food, followed by white Hovis sandwich fingers mainly filled with cucumber and for dessert a selection of defrosted petits fours surrounded by chocolate buttons covered with hundreds and thousands. On display there were some wonderful looking sandwich cakes and I'm left wondering why on earth we have just been served the freezer dregs. At the sight of the purple wide-legged cords I am just left speechless and when it comes to paying am not in the least bit surprised that they've forgotten about the deposit I've paid! It all just seemed too surreal and just ever so bizarre!

“Scrummy crumpets and Superb service”
Reviewed September 1, 2011

Lovely tea rooms with a traditional old English style. Ironed tablecloths, bone china cups, silver spoons but not at all stuffy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
They serve a small selection of savoury dishes for a light lunch. There was a large selection of cakes for afternoon tea.
Found it on a rainy day so didn't get a chance to see courtyard garden but interior was very well presented. After you've eaten you can explore the fine furnishings for sale and there is plenty of choice to suit all budgets.
Highly recommended.
