Four of us stayed here to attend a 70th birthday party nearby. You drive up past a beautiful pond amongst beautiful rolling countryside to a lovely farmhouse. We were met by John Moger, the owner, who gave us a tour of the house as his wife, Arabella, was out. Our rooms were beautifully furnished, and the bathrooms had enormous towels and Jo Malone products (a big plus here!). Also an enormous and very comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep later. John also showed us the drawing room, at our disposal for our stay, and where breakfast would be served the following morning. We later met Arabella before going to our party. We used a local taxi firm, and were entertained for our journey there and back by a very friendly and amusing lady driver!
In the morning (Easter Sunday) we arrived down for breakfast to a roaring fire and a lovely breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, we even had home made chocolate eggs on the table, and hot cross buns as well as a home produce full English.
We would thoroughly recommend this above average place to stay - its more like being a guest in a very comfortable country house, and the owners were hospitable and friendly, and made our stay so enjoyable we were sorry that we were only there for one night.More
