Great location..unfortunately not many gluten free options, and they fall in the bracket of double the price of a gluten free roll £4.50...yes we paid it,needs must, but it wasn’t even edible half fillings, very dry... not happy!!if you’re going to charge £4.50 for a roll at least make it taste nice!! Hungry daughter!! And just a shrug of the shoulders when I told the waiter...☹️

We took some New Zealand friends here for lunch. The choice of food was poor, mostly fat filled, sugary & only white bread pre packed sandwiches at £4.50. The outside table might have made up for the uninspiring food if it was not spoilt by a noisy extraction fan. The National Trust should do better!

Giving this a very good as we know they do a great job and on this occasion the sandwiches didn't do justice to the overall good stuff here.
Having had a long hot walk from Bournemouth station we figured it was time for a break and a snack and our previous experiences here had been good.
The beach was very busy but service at the café was quick considering it was just around lunchtime.
We just had sandwiches and a drink, mine was a beer.
Sandwiches were I’d guess average, mine of cheese and pickle were good, washing them down with a cool beer helped.
Would visit again.

Wooded areas behind. Talcum powder sand. Good facilities. Well kept and maintained. Good parking close by, at the back of the beach. Great views. Opportunities for swimming and watersports. National Trust shop, which we thought was quite reasonably priced. It has something to offer everyone. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.

Because it heaves and heaves with people. But on a quiet day it could be good because it has refreshments and toilets. I’d give it 5 when it’s quiet
