Me and my husband stayed at the beautiful Queen Anne house on the night of our wedding. Everything was perfect and just ended our wedding day beautifully, Margaret the owner had kindly left a wedding card and chocolates in our room for us, which was very thoughtful, we would highly recommend Queen Anne house and will be hoping to return annually for our anniversaries.
My husband and I have just returned from our second stay at the Queen Anne House and once again it was wonderful. The accommodation is excellent, so clean and beautifully presented and the staff are so friendly. The cooked breakfast is the best I've ever had and we had the oyster room with the king size bed and it was heaven. We can't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait for out next visit.
Just spent a night at this beautiful B&B for a honeymoon surprise present. We were greeted by our lovely hostess Margaret who was very friendly,helpful and efficient. The room we stayed in was just perfect,beautifully furnished and of a high standard.
The house is set in a prime location ,close to all the amenties and has lovely gardens. The breakfast room is spacious and well laid out. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for Paul the waiter.We would highly recommend this B&B on the beautiful Isle of Portland......
Just returned from a four day visit to Dorset and stayed three nights at Queen Anne House in Portland. The house is full of character with furniture and fittings to match. We stayed in the Oyster room that is at the front of the house and is subject to a certain amount of road noise although not unbearable. The room and en-suite was nice and clean. Breakfast was cooked and served by our friendly and informative hostess Margaret in the lovely dining room. To say there was plenty of choice is an under statement. Would certainly recommend if visiting the area.
We stayed at Queen Anne for three nights recently.We were made to feel very welcome and could not fault the breskfast. We stayed in the "White Room" and this is the reason didn't give it full marks it is a very small room you have trouble getting around the bed,it should be a single or
charged at a little less than the other rooms.Also the room was a little dusty we think that it may not have been used and it did not get another service just before we came.Saying that we would stay again but ask for different room.Overall very nice B & B.We enjoyed our visit.
Recently revisited Queen Anne House for a third time, which speaks for itself! We like this comfortable B & B, splendid breakfast in a lovely dining room. Since we were here last (I think) some cunning double glazing has been added to the windows (without spoiling the old windows which are still in situ), so there is less traffic noise from the busy road - not that the road bothered us before: we are familiar with Portland and this is the only road in & out of the rest of it, but sometimes people are surprised by it. We will, we hope, be back!
