They don't need to bother about their customers, so it appears that they just don't, as They have a captured market of passing trade right by Corfe Castle. I couldn't imagine anyone would want to go back even if they were visiting again, repeat business very doubtful, due to the most appalling way the manager (found out his name is Mike, identified by wearing a white shirt amongst black t shirted uniform wearing other staff) spoke to my husband when he just wanted to inform the staff that we had moved tables and wanted to tell them the new table number outside. The manager hollered at my husband from the knocked through room bit of the other end of the bar as my husband was waiting his turn at the food ordering end, and was so shockingly aggressively rude to him. My husband informed him of the change of table number, and after a few inappropriately toned words thrown at my husband, the manager ended up cutting him off mid sentence and walked off. And after waiting an unreasonable 40 minutes for 2 baguettes, the pub was about half full, the waiter appeared and went straight to our original table, so the manager never even informed the kitchen or waiting staff of our change of table! Do not waste your money here or give them your money.
I'm sure there is a far nicer place to eat in Corfe! Or go into Swanage to Gee Whites on the Harbourside!

This pub restaurant is in an ideal location and could be the prefect English country pub. Unfortunately it is poorly managed with a rude unhelpful manager (Cockney sounding, slick back hair).

We arrived from the castle to the nice garden area that was full or unclean tables and food everywhere. Our small group ordered mainly burgers and chips at a pricey £10.50 with addition extras at £1 each. We waited 1hour 20mins for our food, which arrived separately over a 10 min period. Once the food arrived it was clear that the potions and presentation of the same dish was wildly different. One portion of £1 extra onion rings consisted of 8-10 onion rings in a bucket while an other consisted just 2 slapped the side of the burger plate. The manger responded to our query by rudely slamming down some more half cooked onion rings and stropping off.

For £10.50 the burger was tasteless watery mincemeat served in a crumbly cheap white flour bun with a spares portion of chips (see picture).

The worst thing about our visit was hearing 4-5 different table groups around us all complaining about the same things only to be rebuffed in a childish and unhelpful manner. All of which ruined the atmosphere on what could have be a beautiful summers night! AVIOD AT ALL COSTS!

The real ales weren't really - they were those novelty titled bitters that all taste the same. The restaurant food is very good but it's cheaper to eat in Venice. Take away cod and chips was excellent at £6.50. Beautiful venue, staff excellent.

we always go to this pub when we visit Corfe, but unfortunately this visit was extremely disappointing. the beer garden was overrun by wasps which was overwhelming for the 3 children under 5 we had with us. the food was disappointing. we ordered prawns and they came over with eggs still attached to their bellies, and a horrible colour to them. when I complained the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. shame, cause we really love this pub.

Really good food, service and staff. Would highly recommend a visit to this pub, which also has good views of Corfe Castle from the beer garden.
