Visited the Greyhound again for their sausage and cider festival. Behind the bar was a well presented and polite woman who had been there for some time and two youths with untidy hair and beards. Unfortunately I was served by one of the latter. Taking an order for three sausages, mash and a pint of cider seemed beyond his capability but he eventually dealt with the order with help from the woman. He did say "it is not your fault mate" to me.
£11 was rather expensive for three sausages and mash but it was served quickly and tasted pleasant with the cider. The pub is a historic building in an excellent location which is why they are able to get away with high charges and poor service. There is little competition nearby but by all accounts the Castle Inn about half a mile down the road is better.
