“Don't go anywhere else for a meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

Have been staying in Corfe for 5 days on holiday. Went here for 3 nights running and each evening had a superb meal. Wish we had gone here for the four nights. The Fox Inn is a very odd though quaint little pub which has been in the same family since just after the war. Not a great deal of choice in the drinks department but we were more than happy with what they did have. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming each evening and this made a very comfortable atmosphere in the pub.

The meals however are second to none, a really good choice, big portions and taste delicious. Cannot praise the food enough.

Between my husband and I we had lasagne, chicken curry, scampi, steak and mushroom pie, lamb shank and pork steak and each and every one of these were excellent. I hope the chef gets a big pat on the back.

Lots of locals eat here which speaks volumes so give it a try and you will not be disappointed.

“Quirky little pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

This quaint little pub is a stones throw away from Corfe Castle, so has beautiful views. We only had a coffee here and it had just opened it's doors on a quiet Sunday evening so I would hope it has better things to offer.
We sat in the very quirky beer garden, an eclectic mix of ornaments and plants and a mish mash of tables & chairs, but lots & lots of seating which is always a good thing. Fairy light lanterns lit up the garden from dusk as you relax looking up to the castle ruins looming over you...very atmospheric and definitely a pub to have at least one drink in....

“Wonderful old pub with Character”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

We visited the Fox Inn whilst visiting Corfe and loved its old character. In the pub there is a well in the floor with a glass panel over the top which is lit to show the view down. The food was lovely, good beer and a long winding quirky garden with quaint seating a lovely place to have a drink.

“Dont judge this book by its cover”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

From the oustisde does not look like much but inside and out the back is beautiful. Had a lovely meal here in their beer garden. The landlord was very pleasant and cheery and joked with us in his pub.
The food was all very well presented and tasted fab. Would definatly go again.!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

very good beer and food. Genuine real ales, not the fizzy stuff that is often trumpeted as such. Interesting place - it's about twelve feet wide and half a mile long. Lovely garden.
