Once finished with the visit to the Castle, a cream tea at the Tea Room in Corfe village is a perfect end of the day. Not very cheap, but superb quality and good environment.

Our family were all staying in Ringwood and decided to celebrate my grandmothers 70th birthday with afternoon tea here. Such a lovely setting, we had booked earlier that morning as we were a group. Originally booked the room out to the side but on arrival noticed they hadn't even pushed tables together for us so thought outside would be much nicer, so we then asked if we could move outside, we were instructed to sit in the shady part to the left in quite an offhand manner from a more mature lady member of staff and then were left to move the tables ourselves.
aside from this we thoroughly enjoyed afternoon tea together as a family on the other side of the world, both my grandparents and parents from southland NZ, myself and my partner, an uncle and his son from quake stricken Christchurch NZ and an aunty (who made the booking) and her son from Sydney Australia, plus our hosts and their daughter from Ringwood.
yes we were a large group, probably a very large group in the eyes of the staff but I felt we were treated as such an inconvenience, which was such a shame. A smile goes a long way....

Old fashioned tea room with all you would expect - home made caks etc and tea with a pot of hot water. Lovely

Nice choice of freshly made lunch snacks and sandwiches. Cream teas and a good selection of cakes. Perfect for a cold day.

All good, good cake, good drinks, kids enjoyed their sandwiches. Halloween decorations a nice touch. Pricey. Nice log fire. Friendly staff as is the case at all Trust properties.
