I hate coleslaw but I ate every last bit of the Oliver's version. Unusual paninis (I had apple, manchego and some delicious chutney), honesty priced. Would come back like a shot.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Olivers for us. Glad you liked the paninis, we do try and look for combinations that are slightly different but work together somehow. Thanks again. Leigh

We stayed 2 nights at this excellent b&b, and enjoyed the hospitality of Paul and Leigh. The Cromwell room we were given was beautifully clean and the breakfasts great, what more could we ask for? Friendly and helpful advice was given when needed. Corfe Castle is certainly a lovely spot to visit too and Olivers handily positioned.

Corfe Castle is a touristic place, and the offer of places to eat is relatively wide according with the village.
Located just before the main square and the entrance of the castle, you have more chances to find a free table because it's a little bit separated from the rest.
When we were there, three tables were occupied by the staff and youngs (iPads, drinks, and so on), chatting between them, moving from one table to another constantly, it made me feel nervous.
There was a blackboard with the specials of the day, but three of them weren't available. About the soup, was not the one that was in the blackboard.
The staff was kind, bored when we were there, so they were playing and laughing in the bar, not a nice image.
Nice food and tasty, average.
About the bill, I found it a little bit overpriced, but I know that I was in a touristic village.
To sum up, it's a nice place and a correct option in Corfe Castle, but they don't offer anything different from the rest, so this is an option as correct as any other here.

So sorry you did not like Olivers. Its rare this happens however perhaps we need to think about the image we portray to our customers when in quieter periods. One of the tables was occupied by a family friend who recently had a knee operation so was sitting reading his IPAD and chatting to the staff behind the bar. Really disappointing for us that you felt the food was the same as everywhere else in the village. We deliberately designed our menu to offer a very different option to any other in the village and the over-whelming feedback from our customers is that it is a tasty and refreshing change to what others offer locally. Everything is made on site here at Olivers and we purposely avoid chips etc. and try and maintain a value for money proposition. Without knowing what time of day you visited us It would be difficult for me to comment on why 3 of the specials were not available for you ( i'd like to think it was because they had been wildly popular and we had sold out!) but I would be really happy for you to contact us directly with any improvement suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us and give us your feedback, it is vitally important to us here at Olivers.

Saw this place the night before when walking around the village. A very short walk (1 mins) away from the main pubs which meant this place was almost empty. A real shame as this family run restaurant was fantastic. Lovely fresh food, including kids menu, very reasonably priced and friendly staff. As it was quite, Oliver picked up his guitar and we had some great background music aswell, Seating outside the front and a small patio at the back also.

Thought we would try and find a café away from the Castle and what a find!! Sat outside in the sun and was served a scrummy afternoon tea. Very accommodating, allowing the kids to change from tea to hot chocolate. We even had an impromptu jamming session with my son being allowed to play the owners guitar!! Very relaxing and well worth a visit
