We booked all four rooms for our bi-annual get together of four couples. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we were looked after fantastically. Nothing was too much trouble and our hosts went the extra mile.

Breakfast was one of the best we have ever enjoyed.

In due course power showers would be a bonus as the existing flow is not very strong.

Room Tip: Room 1 is the largest and quietest but of course is the dearest.

We stayed at Warren House with our families to get married in Lyme Regis. We were greeted with flowers and confetti at breakfast in the morning and a very warm welcome from Jane and Laurie. They were fantastic and made our special occasion even better. The food was first class with locally sourced bacon and sausages. The rooms are generous and the period building is very attractive even down to the grandfather clock in the hall. We cannot overstate how friendly Jane and Laurie are and we will definitely return. We can recommend this B&B unreservedly

Room Tip: Golden Cap is the most spacious room

Stayed at Warren House for our 3 night family trip and have to say what a thoroughly wonderful trip it was largely down to our accommodation at Warren House. Hosts are fantastically hospitable (tea and cake offered on arrival), and all round genuinely friendly people.
Breakfast was superb and room neat, tidy and spacious enough for 3 of us.
Very characteristic old building in delightfully idyllic village, central to all of Dorset's major attractions.
Great B&B, keep up the good work Jane and Laurie and hopefully be back another day!

Warren House fulfilled all our expectations and went further. It strikes a great balance between a b&b and hotel experience; Jane and Laurie are welcoming, personable and happy to help with local recommendations and Warren House is clean, modern and we did not feel we were living in someone's home. Part of the house is devoted to guest accommodation and breakfast which gave us the feeling of independence. We weren't concerned with what time we were coming back at night etc. and because Jane and Laurie's living area is hidden away, we didn't feel we were invading their personal space. Also, our room was cleaned during the day, fresh towels were given if needed and even our clothes were tidied! So it had the advantage of a hotel in these respects.

However, it went beyond a hotel in many other respects. The breakfast is amazing! Locally sourced bread, jam and meats for the cooked breakfast are used. A wide selection is offered from cooked breakfast to a delicious smoothie, and the servings are large if you want. When you arrive, in our case after a slow drive from London, Jane gives you a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of cake which is exactly what we needed! Jane and Laurie are warm people too. It was a pleasure to talk to them at breakfast or bump into them in the garden.

For balance, I have a minor criticism which didn't bother us at all, but if you are a light sleeper and considering Warren House then I would ask for a room that doesn't face the road. The room we were in, Thorncombe, has windows on to the A35 which can be busy and we could hear traffic. However, we are not heavy sleepers and it didn't bother us at all.

All-in-all, Warren House is an example of a B&B at its best. It's the best of both worlds, providing the freedom and quality of service you would expect of good a hotel and the personal touches that make staying in a b&b so appealing.

Just spent a lovely few days at Warren House - a wonderful reception from Jane and Laurie, not to mention to welcome pot of coffee and lemon cake - not many places offer that sort of reception. The rooms are a pleasure and the breakfast second to none as the scales confirmed when we got home!!!
Hope to come back soon as we did wish that we had booked for a longer stay this time.
Congratulations Jane and Laurie

Room Tip: Stayed in room 1 which was very spacious and no problem with road noise.

My wife and I had the good fortunate to have chosen an overnight stay at Warren House. Without doubt, the stay was one of the best b&b experiences in our many years of travel made special by the lovely welcome, and a Birthday card and present, accorded to us by Jane and Laurie. All was perfect and we wished it had been possible to stay longer but that is reserved for another time! It is a home with warmth and care and we would recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy the stunning scenery of this corner of Dorset.

Room Tip: Road noise not a problem.
