We stayed with another couple at Eypes Mouth over this New Year - 2012 into 2013 taking advantage of a special 3 night offer which proved to be excellent value. We enjoyed full English breakfasts in the morning - any combination was happily served; a 3 course menu for 2 of the nights and a 7 course menu for New Years Eve!! The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful!! New Years Eve lived up to expectations, we dressed up and enjoyed a champagne reception, before hand and then saw in 2013 with dancing and more champagne. Our rooms though small were well decorated and clean, though the television signal had a nastyhabit of fading a crucial points.! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Very good location close to the Beach at Eype and good walking country. Clean and tidy. We asked to take our small dog ( who is no trouble) and were allocated a room "suitable". I can only assume "suitable" means, "in need of decorating". Other than that, one could not fault the hotel. Plenty of hot water and a lovely breakfast, Plenty of on site parking.

Had a wonderful 4 days at the hotel, walking during the day along the coastal paths, then a quite
pint followed by an excellent dinner in the evening. All the staff are very helpful, rooms are very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. Strongly recommend this Hotel. As Arnold says " I'll be Back"
PS. The coffee is very good as well !

Four walking ladies took an exceptionally reasonable dinner b and b deal and have a terrific time. The hotel is minutes from the beach and beautiful cliff walks in either direction. The staff went out of the way to be helpful, making a sandwich for a late-comer, providing morning coffee upon arrival just for us, and showing admirable patience when we attempted to sort whose was whose with the 4 bills and the extras at checkout. Dinner was exceptionally good - the three course included offered choices of crab, lamb, fresh fish and the most delicious chocolate cheesecake imaginable. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit (always appreciated) as well as the usuals. Rooms were all very nicely appointed but we all would have preferred duvets to blankets. Do ask when you book for the room you prefer if you are booking single occupancy - two of us lucked out with small doubles with stunning views, one had two single beds and one a four poster This was my second visit here and I'll be back.

Room Tip: The rooms vary quite a lot so ask when you book if you want a view/four poster etc.

We stayed for 2 nights for a peaceful, relaxing rest and found the hotel to be pretty good for what we needed. The staff were friendly and mostly very helpful. The young girl on reception was grat and went out of her way to help. Our bedroom and shower room were clean and comfortable and well stocked with tea, coffee, etc. When we asked for mre we got lads without question. The sea view is just that - don't expect to see the beach and the sea - and there is a house in the way but it is a pleasant view. Just not sure if it is worth the extra money. The lounge has obviously been refurbished recently and is very nice. It will be god when the restaurant and bar are also done as this will make the public areas excellent. We were a bit dsappointed on the 2nd evening as we chose to have a bar meal rather than full 3 courses as we were not that hungry and we had to sit in the bar. The restaurant was nowhere near full and we would have preferred to eat there. Breakfast was good with a good choice. The lane to the hotel is very narrow but there are plenty of passing places and this helps to keep the area lovely and quiet. We'll go back but will wait a while for the refurbishment programme to complete

We wanted a couple of nights rest with comfortable room, good food and peace and quiet. That is exactly what was delivered. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left everything was perfect.
The owners are helpful and friendly and have trained their staff to be the same. Everyone went out of their way to do what was requested promptly and efficiently whilst maintaining a firiendly and cheerful demeanour.
Highly recommended.

Very the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt welcome. Very high standards in all departments, from reception, excellent housekeeping, great service in the bar and restaurant. Kevin was in the kitchen for dinner - the best sea bass we have ever tasted. Breakfast deserved an award it was great - need a brisk walk over the hills to work off. Glenis could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. The bed was so comfortable it is a wonder we got up ! We will be back with friends.

Room Tip: We had room six sea view with a very good shower and a cosy bed.
