“Lovely cottage!”

We stayed at this cottage for a long weekend with our toddler and dog. We usually camp however wanted something a bit easier with a 2 year old.
The cottage is so lovely and has everything that you would need. A really nice touch to have milk and cakes waiting for us on arrival. We made use of the log burner in the evenings which was so nice and relaxing.
Our little boy loved the toys in the cottage and again that was a lovely touch.
The owners were so friendly and we really felt at home. They were next door if we needed anything, however we didn't want for anything.
The grounds are lovely and our dog loved the field out the front and our little boy loved the swing and slide, he also loved the little den in the woods! :)
We would definitely return and will be recommending to anyone who wants to visit this area of Dorset.

“Comfortable and cosy cottage”
Reviewed October 25, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We have just had a lovely week at buzzard swoop. The cottage is set in a tranquil and peaceful location yet close to amenities. It is equipped with all that is required for a self catering holiday plus extra little touches I.e. Toys for children, books, puzzles. The beds were really comfortable with bedding supplied. We found ourselves using the conservatory everyday, although October and with a cold wind blowing it was really warm. Our dog was in 7th heaven with all the walks around the property. A really nice touch was Lisa's cakes upon arrival ( moorish ). Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Burton Bradstock just a shot drive away. Lots of dog friendly pubs in and around the area. Will definitely be going back next year. Free wifi.

“A dream of a holiday with amazing amenities, well located and perfect for children.”
Reviewed August 17, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Myself and my partner and 5 year old son have recently returned from a week staying at this cottage. I can not praise it enough! Not only was the cottage perfect (an additional loo downstairs is always handy with a child!), beautifully equipped and well maintained, but the grounds outside were stunning.

The cottage has a huge (and it is huge) outdoor communal field, which has a trampoline, a jungle gym and goal posts. This is also populated with a dozen or so apple trees. To be able to come home after a hard day's rock pooling/swimming/eating crab sarnies, and have somewhere else for our son to run around (or sit on a blanket with a glass of wine) before tea, was a real treat.

The cottage is well equipped and is quiet and peaceful. There are hundreds of sparrows and swallows, and the views are lovely - Lisa and Alistair have created a really relaxing environment.

It is also well placed for Bridport, West Bay, Weymouth, Lyme Regis and other local spots. There is a big Morrissons near by, and the nearby water mill serves an amazing cream teas.

Both Lisa and Alistair checked we were ok, and even though they were off on holiday themselves the day we arrived, were happy for us to contact them if we needed to, which was very kind.

I am really hoping we get the chance to visit again, but we had a really great time in a really great cottage - my five year old is already planning his next trip!

“Lovely well equipped holiay stay”
Reviewed July 20, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Binghams Farm Barns was recommended to us, and although we took one of the smaller properties we were not disappointed. Situated in Melplash a short distance from Bridport, the property is ideal for visiting the surrounding area. With beautiful views and available walks there is plenty to occupy whether you want to be active or just relax! The property was well equipped and had everything you could want from a holiday property. Alistair and Lisa were very welcoming and helped to make our stay a very enjoyable one. Certainly somewhere we would look at revisiting. Thank you again.

“Lovely break”
Reviewed June 27, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Second visit for us - and hopefully not the last. Ideal cottage for a couple. Garden is good for reading & sunbathing - private & sunny. Small shop, very close by, is useful and the grounds are great for a walk. Location ideally situated for Bridport & West Bay. Burton Bradstock (NT) & Abbotsbury offer coastal and inland treats. Further afield Eype and Lyme Regis make for excellent day trips. If you like Moores Biscuits the original factory has a shop at Morecombelake. Farm shops are in abundance as are quality art galleries. Plenty of on-board fishing trips are available at West Bay and Lyme. Lyme and Bridport are good for wet days but we have enjoyed excellent weather thus far. Highly recommended.

“A warm welcome and homely cottage”
Reviewed June 1, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Well equipped cottage, very clean and a nice, homely feel to it. Very useful folder full of info on dog friendly beaches, local markets and pubs/restaurants etc provided by the owners. Hosts are friendly and helpful but leave you to get on with things unless you need them. Kids loved the trampoline and football pitch. Dog loved the walks! Already planning on going back again.
