“Excellent food and value”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

A very small pub which does not look much when first going in. Food was excellent, landlord friendly, and very good value for money. Two mains, two coffees, two deserts, and two drinks for less than £40 - worth a visit - beautiful view from the garden to boot................................

“nice food, really friendly staff”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

The food was good quality pub food, although a note about the brie in bacon which was delicious. The garden is well worth a visit with beautiful views and the staff and locals were really friendly and chatty to us which really made the evening.

“Well worth seeking out. Friendly and delicious home made food.”
Reviewed July 2, 2013 via mobile

This is a rural idyll. Once you find it you will be rewarded. Very large garden with fab views so good for dogs. If you can't find it, ring the landlord for directions, he is very helpful. Well kept local ale and home cooked food at reasonable prices. Cottage pie and fish pie recommended. Healthy portions Especially of cottage pie. All round excellent.

A warm welcome and lovely home cooked food. Dogs allowed in and it turned into a mini crufts.
Of the beaten track but worth the visit.
