I have been staying at the Old Mill House in Bridport for a while now due to work commitments and it has got to be the best B & B I've stayed in, and I've stayed in quite a few ! Fiona and Malcolm are wonderful hosts who make you feel welcome and turn your visit into a home from home experience. Although I declined from having breakfast, the food on offer is varied and plentiful. My room is comfortable, pleasant , lovely and clean with plenty of space, and always well stocked with various drinks catering for any-ones tastes. Although my room is at the front of the house, the noise from traffic is negligible and doesn't impact on sleeping. This B & B is well situated and close to the town, it also has the most wonderful area to the rear of the property with a small stream. If you're coming to Bridport, then this is the place to stay !

Room Tip: Masters bedroom is the biggest.

We had an excellent stay at the Old Mill. The bed was extremely comfortable and the surroundings beautiful. Thanks to Fiona and Malcolm for their hospitality - they made us very welcome with an unlimited supply of toast!

The location is handy for strolling into town and West Bay, we would most certainly recommend this establishment.

The Old Mill House in Bridport is possibly one of the best B&B's I've stayed in. It's very clean, really nice decor, quiet, peaceful, relaxing and the host and hostess are very welcoming, warm and attentive. It has a secluded tucked away car park and you are only a matter of a few minutes walk away from the centre of Town. The sound of water cascading over a waterfall and nice grounds are the icing on the cake. Highly recommended and see you again soon.

Room Tip: The Master Bedroom is very comfortable overlooking the grounds.

Fiona and Malcolm are warmly welcoming hosts to guests who experience their former Mill House. The bedrooms are tip top and look out at the old mill stream babbling below with grounds on the other side where guests are free to wander. Although it was advertised as without breakfast, in fact cereals and toast and big mugs of tea and coffee were provided - quite sufficient to start the day for most folk. There are no set times for this (non!) breakfast and one can linger in bed without the uncomfortable feeling that someone is waiting to clean your room as is so often the case in many places taking guests. A parking area is provided to the rear of the hotel but the entrance way to it is off a hard to spot narrow alley then over a bridge that will have some nervous drivers sucking in their breath the first time they navigate it. But then a dedicated parking spot so near the town centre is such a boon. Bridport is a very lively community with a twice weekly market - though the Saturday one is superior - and many good restaurants are within easy reach in the town or nearer the coast. A stay here can be highly recommended.

Room Tip: A four poster is available.

We went as two couples to stay for three nights at the Old Mill House for a friends wedding. We were just so warmely welcome and immediately felt like we were just staying with friends. We were encouraged to take advantage of the beautiful gardens, which we did lots of and to just enjoy a very relaxed stay. We couldn't have been happier with the cosy, cute room and the rest of the house was so homely too. The gardens and river flowing nearby just added to the whole experience and we would be happy to return. The vegetarian breakfast suited us just fine but we also took the short walk into bridport for breakfast on one morning too. Thankyou Malcolm and Fiona for your warm welcome!
