We stayed here for 3 nights to explore the Jurassic Coast. The pitches have been leveled although some are slightly exposed to the elements. You get a fantastic view and there is a cliff top walk that runs alongside the campsite and the beach is a short walk away. We found the staff approachable and very helpful. The shower and toilet block were a bit dated but did the job, isn't that part of what makes camping great?!

Room Tip: If the campsite isn't fully booked and strong winds are forecasted see if you can move to a more...

Stayed for 3 nights mid-week in June and loved this campsite! Admittedly we were staying mid-week, so practically had the camping field to ourselves and I could see how it would get cramped if full (as there would not be much space to park cars or to manoevre), however I think that the comments about no space for children to play or the steepness of the hill are a little unfair - campsites are not generally designed as play areas for children and also the campsite is on the jurassic coast with seaviews, therefore surely you would expect to be on a hill?!
The new shower block is lovely, although there are only 3 showers, so I imagine that you would have to queue during busy times. The toilets could definitely do with a bit of a deep clean - but apart from that were fine. You cannot freeze ice blocks, but you can hire them for £1 refundable deposit plus 25p - this seems like it is becoming common practice at lots of campsites.
Overall would recommend for the view, the close proximity to the coastal path & beach and the lovely peace and quiet!!

Room Tip: Request pitch number 13- definitely not unlucky for some!!

We stayed here for a night last weekend, in our campervan, and had a lovely time.

The site has a remarkable location right on the cliff of the Jurassic Coast. Yes, it's a bit hilly getting about, but hey - 50% you're going down, and it's a small price to pay for such a stunning location.

Good standard shower and toilet blocks, and the staff the were friendly and engaging from our first enquiry telephone call, and throughout our stay. Seriously, disregard other negative reviews on this point.

Would not hesitate to go back - especially when the Bridport Food (& beer) Festival is on.

I stayed here eith my partner and sister's family for a long weekend last summer. We had a great time, the location is fantastic, the showers were clean and always had hot water, and the bar wasnt overpriced. I would definitely consider coming back, this is an ideal location for campers with young children- lots for the kids to do with a safe, family atmosphere.

Stunning location in a little Village in Dorset, lovely market town 5 mins drive away, the site is clean and well maintained and the caravans are very clean and cosy. was worried about some reviews but couldn't be more wrong (even the shower block is being rebuilt and is looking great) the staff are very friendly and well humoured and the shop does a cracking cream tea, would highly recommend to anyone will definitely be going again.

Room Tip: try and book a caravan with a view of the sea

Selected for a weekend camping trip based on good weather & location.
The forcast was right, but apart from the good location & views, the campsite facilities were poor. Luckily, we were alotted a good pitch on the perimeter, but the central area looked cramped & difficult for new arrivals to access. The toilets/showers are spread over several old blocks in need of serious modernisation, extra space, storage & headroom, There are no electric points available or ice block freezing etc & the shop/reception is open limited hours.
There is no supervision of the site, leading to a chaotic & noisey site when we stayed. The 1960's facilities & customer service need modernisation to match the rates charged & the potential of this site.
In the meantime, if you want VFM camping on a well organised, quiet site, go elsewhere.
