We rented Dorset Cottage for 4 nights in the week of June 19. The hottest heat spell in years occurred during the week. Our plans for energetic walks along the coast were abandoned but there were more than enough to keep us occupied on the coast, at Dorchester and round Beaminster itself. The cottage is clean, well equipped and comfortable for the two of us. It has an excellent collection of books apart from the useful touristic information. During the hot days we breakfasted in the garden, and ate there in the evenings when we were not out. BTW Brassica in Beaminster is an excellent restaurant. Overall a good choice for us.
This quaint cottage is in a small town in the countryside , well situated for local shops. A short 20 minute drive from lots of local beaches. The cottage is well equipped and the owner was able to answer any queries we had.
Great base for exploring western Dorset, with the added bonus of a bell-ringing masterclass on Weds evening! The cottage is well-appointed and very comfortable in pretty surroundings. Best things were the coast path walks, Hive beach cafe for lunch and Mapperton House gardens - what a jewel.
walking distance to the shop, pubs and restaurants. easy driving to surrounding areas. small cottage with an old feel to it. Pet-friendly, ideal for walks in the area.
Nice to be woken up on a Sunday morning with the church bells,
Enjoyed stay, cottage very warm and cosy and has everything you might need. Owner very helpful. Will definitely stay again. Wonderful.
Had a lovely long weekend in Beaminster the cottage was delightful and charming everything you could wish for. We will be going back for a longer break next summer.
