Very clean and comfortable rooms. Cosy bar area.
Family friendly.
Exceptional, lovely food: All of it was wonderful and I would recommend the snails for breakfast.
The staff were friendly and professional.
Go there, you'll love it!

We stayed in the main hotel - the car park entrance is narrow ,so watch out for any one leaving-you don't want to wipe the smiles off their faces ! Efficient friendly service is a key feature of the hotel, bar and restaurant. Lovely large room ,tastful furnishings, great claw bath and dinner plate size shower. Waffle dressing gowns and molton brown goodies make it feel like a treat- but why not add some moisturiser for the finishing touch?
Pretty garden, calm place to sit and relax in despite the proximity of the road, great choice of wines to suit all pockets.
Do eat here, the breakfast menu has a great variety of dishes, even for the snail lover!
The dinner ( part of our deal ) was exceptional - my husband still mentions that trio of scallops, well worth the small extra cover charge. Fresh and interesting dishes were a delight.
The hotel is perfectly placed for a night away and atrip to Lyme Regis.
It would be a cosy stay what ever the season.

Room Tip: Room 4 was gothic , light , vast bed.

We stayed here for three nights and it really would be very hard to criticise anything.

The room was lovely, with a really comfortable kingsize bed and high thread-count linen, vast towels and such attention to detail that there was even a towel especially for the dog after wet walks! Perhaps the room was a little dark, and the bedside lights did not throw out much light to read by.

The food at Bridge House was exceptional, everything we ate was quite perfect - portion sizes just right, you get up from the table satisfied but not stuffed and the menu is really interesting. Not often do I go somewhere that I want to try everything on offer as it all sounded so good - thankfully we had three dinners, all of which were different and delicious.

Room Tip: Room 10 in the coach house is in the way to the dining room so possibly a little public.

We had booked for April but due to family illness could not make the date on the actual morning but no problem with the reception staff ( Patrick) delayed our visit for 6 weeks . Reception wonderful, excellent room, food fabulous ( ought to have more AA rosettes, ought to have a Michelin Star). everyone helpful. We shall book again in the not too distant future.

Room Tip: Room 5 was excellent, ground floor ,large bed walk in shower

We met up with friends for lunch and were greeted by helpful staff.
Our table was in the conservatory and had a view of the garden .
Starters of smoked salmon and crayfish were first class ,bread was served to us by the chef .

Cod and chunky chips were very good as the two men who ordered the dishes had bad experiences of fish and chips at previous establishments but this expunged their memory of that .
Sea bream was good too and all followed by very good desserts.
The rhubarb cheese cake with sorbet and rhubarb puree was a picture on a plate with the pink rhubarb contrasting with the black plate .

Altogether a very pleasant lunch and will repeat again when in the area.

This was our first stay as a Family at Bridge House, but it certainly won't be our last!
The Hotel is beautifully appointed and has a comfort standard well above average. Someone has a terrific eye for style (Colour scheme, furniture, very comfortable and stylish rooms with wonderful beds and linen) Even the Garden was well tended. But here's nothing pretentious here. It's all very relaxing.
We were a last minute booking (The day before) and I felt that for our size of party (2x Adults, 2x Children and 2x Dogs) we wouldn't get a room together. However, for Patrick (Duty Manager) nothing was a problem. We were put up in Room 15 - which in fact had a Double bed and two separate Single rooms with a travertine Bathroom. Bathrobes for the Adults, Molton Brown products in the Bathroom, and a selection of 'Clipper' Organic tea/coffee/biscuits etc. Patrick even gave us towels in the Room so that our 'Hounds' could share the comfort! We didn't eat in the restaurant for dinner (We definitely will next time) due to the 'Dogs'. But the staff gave us great advice on takeaways (Good Indian v near) and supplied us with plates, cutlery etc. There are DVD's and toys available for all ages!
We didn't think it would get any better than a good night's sleep - We were wrong!
Breakfast is FAB! Huge choice (Including: Cereals, fruit, very fresh OJ, Full English, Kippers, Haddock with Poached Egg and even an "Escargot" dish) Andy helped us through the Menu, and again was notable for his friendly manner and service.
Beaminster is really well placed in the region, and is worth a visit in it's own right.
We'll be back , if you'll have us!!...

Room Tip: Room 15 in the Annex is great for a Family of 4. There's a good selection of Takeaways and Resta...

We stayed at this charming small hotel on a rather wet cold May weekend.
We were very pleasantly surprised at the standard of welcome and comfort. The rooms are simple but very well done, lovely comfortable beds, nice linen and our bathroom was very well appointed.
One of the real joys is the delightful food served on a cold night in a lovely cosy dining room .The hotel also has a very nice outdoor area for fair weather dining. The food is inventive and beautifully presented, the wine list is small but we had a very good bottle of Meursault complementing the John Dory.
This is a must visit stopover for those visiting the Jurassic coast and lovely Dorset countryside.
We will definitely be revisiting.

Room Tip: There are nice rooms overlooking the quiet garden
