Quigley Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #3 of 8 Beaminster B&B and Inns
Reviewed December 3, 2012

What a marvellous B&B, both Jools & David most welcoming, the tea and cake was much appreciated. Our room was excellent, not too big and certainly not small. Wonderful clean and crisp bed linen. The whole place was cosy. Breakfast, cooked by David, was extremely good and sufficient, and set us up for the day ahead. We would certainly visit again and recommend. Thank you both.

We arrived in the village tired and wanting to rest. The welcome we found at Quigleys was second to none. Accommodation is clean, smart and comfortable, the owners' were pleasant, concerned and encouraging, and wanting us to be happy. Will definitely return on our next visit.

We stayed at Quigley about a week ago, as my friend was getting married just down the road near Mapperton. I must say it was an absolutely pleasurable stay from arrival to departure. Julie & David were phenomenal hosts and couldn't do enough for everyone. The rooms were modern, clean and to an excellent standard. The breakfast was one of the best I've had, with both home-made bread and local ingredients. Julie also kindly helped us out when we couldn't get a cab to the reception. In all, a splendid B&B and one which I'd recommend to all I know.

Great photo ! A very relaxing weekend with super guests, makes helping out an absolute pleasure and the reason we love running Quigley so much.
Thank you very much for putting in the effort to write a review, we are always very excited when a new one pops up!
It was great to meet you, & pleased to hear you loved Mapperton Gardens & House as much as we do, being 2 miles away gives us the opportunity to visit many times a year and they certainly deserve the award from Country Life for The Nations finest Manor house.

My husband and I stayed at Quigley B & B in the lovely town of Beaminster for one evening. It was rather last minute, we went into the tourist information in the town on 21/08/12 and the assistant was most helpful and pulled the web site of Quigley up on her computer and then even called the B & B for us. On arrival we were made most welcome, a pot of tea was soon on the table in the guest lounge along with a home made cake freshly baked that afternoon by David who owns the B & B with his wife Julie. Our room was beautifully furnished, very clean, had a very comfy bed and all the facilities we required. Julie recommended a superb Restaurant for our evening meal and before we went out that evening we enjoyed a glass of wine courtesy of Julie & David. Next morning we were served a super full English breakfast. A lovely overnight stay, great hosts and would certainly recommend Quigley to anyone wanting to be spoiled by their hosts. From Tim & Jenny, York.

Room Tip: We stayed at the front of the property but weren't troubled by any traffic noise, there is one o...

This is more than a B & B. We booked a last minute short break and were delighted. Thankyou David & Julie for making our stay in the area so relaxing. We arrived on Sunday teatime to be greeted with tea and cake which was very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Julie and David were perfect hosts, excellent breakfast at a time to suit us, comfy bed, excellent shower. Before we went out Sunday evening David produced a bottle of wine which was very welcome. We have never stayed in a B & B as good as this and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone and would definately return. Thankyou David & Julie

My partner and I booked a room at Quigley B&B as we were attending a wedding nearby. We arrived on Friday evening and were greeted by Julie one of the B&B owners and offered tea and coffee and home made cake! Unfortunately we were not able to take up the offer as we had to visit a friend for dinner. Julie left a lovely bottle of red wine in the guest lounge for us to enjoy as and when we pleased. Our room was large, modern, and spotless with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The ensuite was really nice and the shower was powerful. The B&B owners were amazing. It felt like we were staying with friends. After the wedding on Saturday we were having problems arranging a taxi to the reception so Julie offered to take us there, which we were very very grateful for. The only regret we have is not having enough time to chill out in the B&B guest lounge as it was lovely!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a B&B in the Dorset area, and hope we will get to visit again sometime!
