“Warm and welcoming. Yummy scones and cake.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012 via mobile

Absolutely lively scones and cake , good coffee and hot tea! BUT after taking all my wet clothes and boots off after an absolute downpour for the last mile of my walk I was looking forward to using a nice cloakroom to tidy up not being told to put my wet boots back on and go next door to the public toilets . It really let a charming tearoom down .

“A lovely place for a cream tea and lovely cakes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

We have just visited this lovely tea shop.

We visited with our 4 year old daughter who loved the chocolate fudge cake. The toys in the corner and books to read is a brilliant touch.

The cream tea was lovely, served warm with tea in a china tea cup.

My husban had coffe and not many places serve it with warm milk as standard.

Couldn't fault a thing. If we have time to go back before the end of our holiday it's definately worth a return visit.

Even a little selection of treats to buy.

Cards are accepted minimum spend is £15

“Olde-worlde tea rooms with out of this world cakes!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2012

Visited the Old School House on a soggy afternoon following a trip around Abbotsbury Swannery (amazing). It's a proper, old fashioned tea room with bone china cups and a vast array of huge, homemade and tempting cakes on show. We warmed ourselves up with tea and a large slice of coffee and walnut cake - yummy! Somebody on a table nearby had homemade soup and sandwiches which also looked very nice.
