Description: The Red Barn is a Bar & Restaurant overlooking Woolacombe Beach, with seating indoors and out. We are open all year around and serve home made food all day every day, along with hot drinks, cakes and snacks. The Red Barn is popular with families and surfers, locals and tourists; a recent refurbishment has ensured that the Barn remains the prime destination for food and beer in Woolacombe!

We have just returned from a week in North Devon. We ate in the Red Barn on four occasions and the highlight was the superb sunday roast. The food is freshly cooked and the portions are generous. We eat here regularly whilst on holiday because dogs are made welcome and the menu consists of good quality pub food.

Our only minor quibble was the poor quality of the chips with one meal but, as my wife does not eat them, this was not a problem. Gunner, our yellow labrador, appeared perfectly satisfied with them.

This is an ideal place to eat after a bracing walk on the beautiful Woolacombe beach.

“End of Winter Warmer”
Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

Very lucky was able to eat outside in the March sunshine. Food was of good quality & nicely cooked. Service was good too. Situated on a corner that gets the sun however, perhaps a few more benches wouldn't go a miss if they could find space. Not over priced either which is good for a seaside resort.

“Good food with a view”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

enjoyed getting out of the cold and the Barn is well sited on the corner. Great surfing stuff stuck all on the walls with boards around the ceiling! Went in March (last week) and the food was good and wholesome...pub food as others have already stated.
Dog was allowed in at the top end near the pool tables, which was a bonus!
The views are great, but i do wonder what it would be like in the middle of the season??

“Good pub food”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

First time in woolacoombe and stayed just across the road for the red barn. There were 6 of us to please and there was something on the menu for everyone from beef stroganoff, fish and chips to lamb steak. Plenty on the plate, a good price and all enjoyed. Pub was quiet as it was Sunday night, but we had a few visits during our stay and always seemed busy, with atmosphere.

“It's OK”
Reviewed March 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited first last year on a sunny spring day & the place was packed full of screaming kids. This time was a freezing February day & there were more staff than customers.
The Red Barn is in a prime position in Woolacombe & caters for families & surfers. Plenty of seating & a standard pub menu with specials. I had the all day breakfast & my wife had the turkey korma. Both were very good. The breakfast could have been better if it came with toast or fried bread but it was a good sized portion, the bacon & sausages were good.
Negative points are your condiments come in sachets & the coffee was awful.
If you are staying in woolacombe with your family & don't want to drive anywhere the Red Barn does the job. Personally I would go for the drive & find somewhere better.
