This is the perfect place to stop for a meal and relax before the even more relaxing horse-drawn canal trip.

The staff are friendly and the food is soooooooo good!

Stopped by for a quick lunch and tea. The location is beautiful and the staff friendly. Only let down by my jacket potato being semi cold. I guess it wasn't microwaved enough because it was mildly warm on the outside and everything else was cold so the cheese didn't melt at all. Everything else was nice and I would probably go back next summer since they close for the winter.

Went in here after going on the narrow boat. It was very busy but we managed to find a table for 6. Food was great; we had ploughman’s and afternoon tea but were the best we’ve had.

Home-produced fare. Wonderful cream teas (sandwiches, cake & scones!); we had the 50/50 Ploughmans (slab of Cheddar & a thick slab of home-cooked Devon ham) which was delicious. Plenty of choice of food & teas/coffees. Also variety of places to sit, not just outside but in a lean-to "tea shack" or a "garden room", so inclement weather catered for. Does not open Wednesdays..

This visit was my first since the present owner had taken over and it was much improved. Plenty of seating, both under cover and on the lawn. Plants and a pond make the garden a delight to sit in. Efficient and friendly staff. The cream tea came with two lovely scones, jam and plenty of cream (the previous owner was stingy with the cream!). Clean, friendly, efficient.
