A great find. Delicious food, lovely coffee, nice choice of wine & beer and all in a relaxing atmosphere. Fantastic selection of produce in the deli, too. A good range of snacks or larger meals available, all served with the smile. Can't ask for more.

Popped in for a coffee and ended up having lunch as the menu looked fab.... We weren't disappointed the food was excellent and came out in good time dispite it being very busy. Service with a smile could have earned a 5

Thank Simon Q

Until leaving the area recently, I've been a regular at the Pickle savouring the excellent coffee and good quality snacks and lunches.

This is a relaxed place to chat to friends, read a book, newspaper or even work using the free wifi. If you want fast food and hassle, there is always Costa or McDs.

This was our second visit, in over a year. We ordered the American sandwich, which contained a gherkin (pickle to Americans), which didn't arrive. We asked the person, who had delivered it, after she had walked away. Sh explained that they had run out. I asked why she hadn't mentioned this before she disappeared to make the sandwich...she just looked and walked away. I then mentioned this to one of the other staff (a male), who explained "what's the problem" rather than "how can I help you"; I explained and he suggested that thy had run out of gherkins - I explained that the waitress had known about this but had failed to mention this. he suggested more coleslaw. The owner (with spectacles) approached and offered more salad and an apology. We had, also, ordered olives and bread, which never arrived. This was only noticed by the staff at the till. We were offered more apologies, the price of the olives and bread removed from the bill and a few brownies. At the cost of the food (sandwiches, with very thin, single slices of pastrami and a tiny piece of salad with mostly Coleslaw)) at almost £6, the service needs to be impeccable. The spicy chai latte was mostly foam and very little milk. The idea is nice, but the service needs to be quicker and more consistent, with staff that ACTUALLY care about the customer.
