Description: The 16th Century Village Inn, complete with beams salvaged from Spanish Armada ships wrecked on the nearby coast, is a popular free house owned by the Grose family for more than a century and is where they first offered hospitality to visitors. Recently extendEd and refurbished, it incorporates stylish modern décor with traditional influences and whether sat outside in the sunshine or inside by the cosy log burner it is a relaxed venue to enjoy a real ale or glass of wine and something to eat. Scott Woodall and his team make The Village Inn popular with guests and locals alike and it is a favoured stop off for walkers on the South West Coastal Footpath. The menu offers freshly prepared meals, signature dishes and daily blackboard specials. There is live entertainment throughout the year. Children and Dogs are very welcome.

we shared a great lunch for New Year's day with a pub full of good spirited folk and enjoyed wonderfully hearty & tasty food, wife's chilly was awesome and my beef dish was terrific. Overall a really great, honest high quality pub lunch in a fabulous part of the world.

Stopped for a meal. Nice simple menu and good service. No real views or anything but pub and food good. Good size portions and helpful staff.

Main laminated menu rather boring but specials board offers more interesting meals, mainly fish. Not restyled into gastro-pub, tables packed in but clean and sense of old pub still there. Scallop salad very good.
