The weirdest Inn I've ever seen.
Driving through Stourton, there are big signs advertising The Highwayman Inn.
You can't miss it!
Strange Inn that looks like a boot from one side and a carriage from the other - see photos.
Has to be seen to be believed!

We have returned to this Inn many times and always love our special time. On this visit other guests were staying and they helped to remake the magic that always happens when we stay here. We had wonderful food fantastic company and the unique ambiance
only found in The Highwayman. So thankyou again to Bruce and sorry we missed Sally hope to catch up soon XX

The Highwayman is worth a visit just to wander around and enjoy the décor, which varies from the peculiar to the downright bizarre. There are several rooms interconnected by passages, all furnished with curiosities so that at one end you have a devil's grotto and at the other a dining room that seems to have been made from the salvaged parts of old galleons. The beer is also excellent, although sadly they seem to have run out of inspiration when it comes to the food. Definitely worth a visit though!

Amazing Pub/Inn, what a lovely and quirky place. A lot of nookie and crannies and a very small pub. A out of this world pub. Loved the Stagecoach door at the front of the pub and at the back the old shoe and dragon and the witches spell house. No children allowed in the pub due to all the items, but a lovely stop for pictures from the outside.

An amazing place to go for a drink and some food! The interior of the pub is a true Highlight, don't forget to visit all the rooms. The landlord is very friendly and entertaining, and serves some good pub food with very nice homemade pies. A real recommendation!
