We only stopped for a drink outside but as it got a little chillier we decided to move inside and eat dinner. All the tables had gone but we sat on the sofa by the entrance which was fine. We both had very tasty burgers. The atmosphere was relaxed, staff polite and attentive and we had a great time chilling

A very good breakfast / lunch etc with a view overlooking the river Teign estuary from the top floor tables or outsdie on the large patio.
Staff are efficient and friendly and the prices are 'cafe' not 'restaurant'. Coffee is good and beer / wine is available.
A lovely place to relax come rain or shine in Shaldon.

We popped in for a bite to eat around lunch time. Very nice decor.

The place was bustling with lots of outdoor seating. We managed to get a really good table indoors which was ideal with a push chair.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of food options. The baguettes were nice enough. Large with a nice salad coleslaw and crisps. A nice coffee too.

The fish and chips looked good and very large. May go back to sample that!

Overall a very pleasant evening sitting outside with the sun setting across the estuary - fantastic location. Food was excellent - the seafood spaghetti was brimming over with seafood. The fish and chips were also very good.
Downsides - very long wait for food order, food orders not taken at the table and fairly limited drinks menu. Otherwise, great value.

Hadn't been to Shaldon for 30 years but stopped off on way to Torbay for a nostalgic visit. We went there for quick refreshment but ended up staying for 3 hours. Location on a beautiful day perfect overlooking the river and Teignmouth. Service very good considering how busy it was and food was excellent too.
