Lovely setting and nice menu! Great views and child friendly! Toilets were spotlessly clean on our visit! Kids enjoyed their baby chinos & tea cakes!

“Pleasant enough, great views, but food average”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

We thought that the place was quite pricey for the quality of the food and drinks. It was a pleasant place - a little stuffy upstairs but lovely on the terrace. It took some time to queue up for food and drinks (clearly a popular place) and it was all fine, but nothing that was above average and at prices which were more than some other places. Good to go to if you're there, but not worth a detour.

“Nice evening meal. Bit too much food!”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

relatively inexpensive for an evening meal, Great views from the upstairs restaurant. Food generally very nice but portions a bit large (if thats a downside - you decide!).

“Excellent Food, excellent customer care, excellent accommodation and they allow dogs”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

This is such a great little cafe with such lovely accommodation that there is absolutely nothing negative to say. Te staff and owners pay particular attention to customer care and are so client focused. The food is cooked perfectly with generous portions. The menu is varied with some by reasonable specials available. The decor is perfect and the views out over the River Teign are delightful at whatever time of day. The accommodation is perfect with very well appointed apartments enjoying fabulous views. All in all, it doesn't get much better and you will look a long way to find anywhere quite this nice in South Devon. This is the second time I have stayed here and and I will definitely be back again.
