Been there a few times over the years, when I visit Ilfracombe. Never changes, still get Flys in there, Why? On this occasion the meals were ok, fairly quick service, it was quiet, mid Sept, staff amusing in a boyish sort of way. Just seams a bit tired, but it is what it is.

Good food, beer, atmosphere, dog friendly with a beer garden. Only slight moan is the music was quite loud and would have been more appropriate in a bar in town, rather than the cosy country pub it is. Lovely staff too!

Nice traditional pub as you'd expect in this small traditional village.
Good outside areas to sit on a nice day.
Top tip, go upstairs and sit by the window in the corner. Lovely views of the countryside and sea.
Barstaff friendly and welcoming.

Loved this pub. We walked over from the holiday park on the hill most nights to have a drink. Always a friendly welcome and great food too.

We were staying at Twitchen Park and walked into Mortehoe and enjoyed this pub a couple of times. Just a short walk on a public footpath across two fields.

It’s a cosy little pub set in the village square with 7 or 8 tables outside on a small terrace and then a bar area and a more restaurant area at the rear.

Wide range of drinks served with a friendly smile. Ordering food is at a separate counter to the side of the bar and was equally easy. A range of standard pub fayre - burgers, pizzas, pies, ploughman’s etc. Most choices come with a choice of chips, mashed potato, jacket potato or salad.

We both chose lasagne (vegetable and beef) and both finished the lot.

Highly recommended.
