A very clean, appointed cottage with every thing you need and more! Comfortable bed, lovely hosts and a very welcome cream tea on arrival. Despite the weather we had a fantastic stay and managed a lot of walking with breath taking views, also a very easy walk into the pretty village of Morthoe right from the cottage ! Would recommend this accommodation, it's well worth a stay , we hope to visit again soon.!
The property is located in Morthoe (just up from Woolacombe) and the views are amazing. The local village is really quaint and there are plenty of facilities. We really enjoyed the curry shack on the Barricane beach! Very unusual and fabulous food :-)
The Long Linhay is beautifully decorated and is easily one of the most relaxing places that we have ever stayed. Our hosts (Kate and Roger) could not have been more accommodating. That you Kate for your lovely homemade scones by the way!
There are plenty of options for walking and sight seeing and the whole area has an absolute abundance of wildlife.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.
We had a wonderful stay in the Long Linhay! The cottage is set in a beautiful location, close to the village of Mortehoe and a short distance from Woolacombe and Lee. The cottage itself is well equipped, spotlessly clean and full of character. There are coastal walks direct from the door and fantastic scenery. We will be back!
As the title says, a beautiful home from home. The area itself is an area of wonderful natural beauty. The house is clean modern and spacious having all required facilities and more. The hosts are wonderful, warm friendly and welcoming, providing a personal service with some kind welcome touches. Lots of activities whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or for a more action packed holiday. We have been a few times and would not go anywhere else. 11/10!!!
The Long Linhay is wonderful 5 star spacious accommodation. When I arrived I parked my car, and there it stayed until I left. Superb walks from the doorstep in every direction and only 5 mins walk into Mortehoe village. Everything about the Linhay shouts quality, and the attention to detail is second to none. Kate and Roger made us feel so welcome with a Devon cream tea awaiting us on arrival. Good places to eat nearby but so well equipped,a night in front of the log burner was bliss.
Stayed here for 5 nights on our way north after visiting family in Cornwall. What a great find. This holiday home is kept spotlessly clean, well equipped, cosy & comfortable during a bleak January week. Plenty of information about the local area and beyond if you wish to venture out. Beautiful views across the Bristol channel and Lundy island.
