The b&b's i have stayed in before have ranged from adequate to comfortable. Heather & David have taken this age old tradition & brought it in to the 21st century with their contemporary theme. 1st class is a term loosely used to describe anything this days but in this case the Queen herself would have been at home here. The bed & bedding was amazing with no expense spared. The best nights sleep I have had in a very long time. The view of the sea & the sun disappearing into the sea in the evening was a sight to behold. The bathroom, we had the one with the luxury bath, was beautiful which also held the afore mentioned view while lapping up the bubbles. The food and service was fantastic with a fabulous choice. Nothing was too much trouble for these two to make our stay memorable. A great place to stay if your into walking and taking in some jolly good fresh sea air. Tough act to follow if we stay in b&b elsewhere on the Devon coast. We will be going again sometime in the future soon because I cannot stop thinking about the smoked salmon & eggs I had for breakfast. Thank you very much you two, Lynn & Russell.

Had a lovely honeymoon at Victoria house. The views, food and hospitality are amazing! Chichester arms for dinner is also good if you can fit it in after the amazing breakfast that Heather and Brian prepare.

If you need a place that is both friendly and thoroughly modern in an area of outstanding beauty, then this is the place for you. We both enjoyed the numerous walks and scenery that this location has to offer.
Our room has amazing views and a high standard of finish. It even had a fridge with fresh milk provided daily which is a rarity.
The breakfast provided by Heather is always varied, fresh and never ending. The freshly baked bread is a nice touch and the quality of the food surpasses any standard required by a bed and breakfast.
I would recommend the Chicester Arms and Rockleigh House for lunchtime and evening meals as long as you have room.
We would recommend Victoria House again and again and would love to go back soon.

We stayed in the Beach House and were really lucky with the weather. I was in the cocoon/sunlounger thingy on the decking within 10 minutes of arriving. The stunning views made it difficult to do anything other than admire them. Our hostess, Heather made us feel totally welcome and we felt like we'd known her for years. The breakfasts were also notable and the full English will keep you going well into the afternoon. Delicious!

This is a fantastic b&b. The room is great very spacious and has a wonderful large double bed that feels like you are sleeping on a cloud.
All the rooms have a small fridge which is great. We took a bottle of Champagne for our anniversary and Heather even placed 2 Champagne glasses in the fridge! This is just one example of Heathers thoughtfulness as a hostess. In short she couldn't do more to make your stay more enjoyable. Fresh made cookies every day in your room freshly cooked bread every day on your breakfast table.
The breakfast is cooked beautifully with varied choices.
The house is David and Heathers family home so don't expect it to be clinical. It has a homely feel and guests should go prepared to treat it with the respect it deserved.
