We had an enjoyable week at Rose Cottage. We found the cottage very comfortable and extremely well appointed. The location is excellent for touring the South Hams. We used it as a base to explore the coastline from Plymouth to Brixham. We particularly enjoyed walking into Dartmouth along the coast path and the National Trust property and gardens at Coleton Fishacre.
Piers and Sue made us most welcome we had a lovely holiday at rose cottage set in the beautiful south devon countryside .The accommodation was excellent and we were provided with all home comforts .My wife and I had a lovely time exploring the wonderful coastline and enjoyed sampling local food in the pubs and restaurants. We found Cotmore Farm to be an ideal base and in an idyllic setting surrounded by lovely views. We were able to explore the farm and collect eggs from the hen house and also make friends with the other animals. Our holiday overall was very enjoyable and we are sure to visit again.

We have rarely stayed at such a beautifully presented and well equipped cottage. Piers and Sue made us very welcome. Great location for exploring the surrounding area and the amazing variety of birds in Rose Cottage garden was astounding. We were given good advice on places to eat out and were not disappointed. Plenty of fish caught on Torcross beach and Piers and Sue enjoyed the spoils. Highly recommend.
As above everything lovely! High spec yet cosy cottage, attractive setting and very nice garden.
Beautifully clean. Good kitchen. Comfortable bed. Well designed, artistic lay out. Enjoyable colourful paintings. Basket gift full of locally sourced goodies.
The owners gave us a wonderful welcome.
I enjoyed feeding banana skins to the piglets!
Lots of places to visit. Wonderful coastal scenery. A photographers paradise!

The accommodation and setting were excellent and the cottage facilities provided everything I needed and more. I didn't even try the oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer as, while enjoying long walks, I usually try to fit in a pub/café lunch. This was easy in the surrounding area as there are many high quality dining facilities, some within a couple of miles of the cottage. I was very grateful for the log burner in the cottage if only to cheer up a couple of very damp evenings - it wasn't needed for warmth but the weather was appalling on a couple of evenings and it created a cheery glow. The coastal path provides some breathtaking views, particularly around Start Point and, for the wet days, there were undercover places to visit worth the trip.

Rose Cottage was exceptional - one of the best self catering cottages we have ever stayed in. It is in a lovely peaceful setting with a private patio garden to relax in on warm evenings. The cottage itself was furnished to a very high standard and had everything you could possibly want on holiday.
The cottage is only a short drive to the coast where we went on some lovely walks and had some wonderful crab sandwiches at the Cricket Inn in Beesands.

Just spent a delightful week at Rose cottage. Luxurious and well equipped accommodation with nice touches like fresh flowers to greet us and a welcome pack including fresh eggs from their own hens. Also worth trying their own bacon and sausages from Piers's rare breed pigs, we enjoyed sitting in own garden watching the birds eating from the feeders and with the occasional glimpse of the local buzzard! You can see the sea from the bottom of the garden. Loads to do in the area, do try walking from Beesands to Start Point and then return to Beesands to eat fish and chips from the Britannia on the Beach restaurant. We were made very welcome by Piers and Sue and hope to return next year.
