It began with an evening out to the cinema but thought it would be nice to eat at salaam namaste which is a local restaraunt for us.We walked into the empty restaraunt and was lead to our table by our waiter who very unprofessionally was chewing gum. As we started looking at the menu we noticed there was a wednesday deal which was 3 courses for £12.95 each which we thought was very reasonable.I would like to make it clear that we didnt have an issue with the food at all my only complaint was that there was way too much of it! As we were deciding what to eat which took quite a while considering the menu is HUGE, we could hear and see the same waiter giving his staff a good telling off which is not what you want to hear especially when your the only people in there trying to have a quiet night out. We placed our order and had a couple of tiger beers, in total between two of us we had 5 bottles. Then it topped it right off when our bill came and it was over £50!!!! the waiter produced a hand written bill which showed that we had spent nearly £30 on beer! This was a shock considering we had bought tiger beer in the supermarket for less than £2.00 a bottle. We fully understand that it would be more expensive but £5.50 for a bottle is ridiculous.Safe to say that it was deffinately the service that let them down and not the food and we will not be goin back or reccomending them to friends.
