Description: The CRABSHELL INN is gloriously situated on the quayside in Kingsbridge and with its south westerly aspect basks in the sun all day. The Crabshell is gaining a fine reputation as an eatery of distinction with an increasingly acclaimed menu. The Inn is “child friendly” and children of all ages are very welcome…

I wrote a negative review following a dissapointing experience a couple of years ago which involved late food, rude staff etc......

I am delighted to say that things couldnt have been different last thursday evening. The place was very busy, but the service was EXCELLENT, the food SUPERB, - the owner seemed less stressed and was even in a good mood!

We will be back - well done!!

Discovered this by accident when visiting Kingsbridge and walking along estuary. Lovely location, nice atmosphere inside, good service despite it being very busy on a Saturday evening. We had Calamari and Crab Brisque for starters, both of which were extremely tasty. The pizzas for mains were fantastic, really good authentic thin crispy dough and we were given a big pizza roller each which is nice touch to make cutting easier. Food very reasonably priced for its quality. Only downside was the price of wine - a small glass of wine with tonic cost £6-7, which I thought was overpriced. Bottles may be more affordable!

Took my in laws for lunch as a welcome to Devon...we had the Mussels, Prawns and Sea Bass.. all were very good, service was average, wine chilled, expensive, restaurant prices for pub food and service.

It would be nice have it as a "local" (my in laws live across the road) but its just a little to expensive.

Thank Abdul M

The Crabshell has always been a great place to call for a late afternoon glass of wine, but with its recent refurbishment with stunning first floor sun terrace and new menu overlooking the Kingsbridge Estuary, it really is the place to go. Even though very busy midweek at 6pm the service was excellent and the extensive menu left us spoilt for choice! Very reasonably priced and great selection of wines, looking forward to the next visit already!
