Awesome tour and fabulous guide well worth the visit and we where greatful that we could leave harvie our dog downstairs . There was only three of us on the tour, and both myself and my partner enjoyed it.

It’s a nightmare to drive to only to find it closed.Having said that I looked out to sea and suddenly found myself in a place with no sound whatsoever and a peace I had not realised I could achieve this side of the grave.Well worth a visit even with the lighthouse closed!

The guide was excellent, very easy to understand and knowledgeable about the technology, the area and the people, lighthouse keepers and their families. Our walk 10 to 15 minutes from Car Park was mainly sheltered from the Westerly gale, would have been difficult in an Easterly gale. Our visit in September 2018 was on the penultimate day before lighthouse closed to visitors for 6 months, refurbishment to install very economical LED lights. Due to open again for visits about April 2019, but check opening days before making the long journey through narrow lanes.

Breathtaking views.Atmospheric. Solitary. Worth the hair raising car ride through all the lanes if you appreciate getting away from it all yet just a few minutes from civilisation ..

We came across the lighthouse by accident whilst driving around the area during our holiday in the area. It was signposted so we decided to go and take a look.

It was late afternoon and the lighthouse was closed anyway, due to renovations, but the walk down the path to the lighthouse is well worth it. Not too hard a walk, it is downhill on the way there and not too steep on the way back. Our beagle enjoyed it too.

The views of the sea are breathtaking.
There are sheep and cows in the adjacent fields and some escaped sheep on the path. We managed to get back to the car just before sunset.

We noticed that there is a self catering property at the lighthouse which I think would be amazing to stay at one day!

Felt the parking at £5 was a bit dear but guess they have to maintain the carpark and access road.
Interesting walk down and back with terrific views all the way. Didn't attempt the lighthouse tour due to creaky knees.

Well worth the time to visit and look around this historic and fascinating place set in a dramatic location. Our guide was excellent and her enthusiasm and knowledge really brought the place to life.

We parked at Beesands, walked to the lighthouse & back. Well worth going to the lighthouse. We didn’t do the tour (£5 per person, £3 per child) I just read the information boards instead(Scrooge). But it is worth walking to it, admiring the views & thinking about how hard & lonely it must have been for the occupants

Visited last week and walked around the area, wow it was stunning. Definitely worth the drive.

The beach looks a perfect place to visit for the day and take a picnic. Very sheltered waters.
