“Very family friendly and fun”

I stayed for a week in August with my parents, toddler and 5 month old baby. It was perfect for everyone, and we were blessed with the most fantastic weather. Sue and Piers were faultlessly helpful, and I echo other visitors when I say the welcome pack was lovely. My little girl loved collecting eggs for breakfast, playing on the trampoline, and all the childrens books in the barn. My parents loved the barbecue area, well stocked kitchen and local birding. I relished getting the chance to read a book in the sun for the first time in months. The nearby beaches are great, Beesands is great, such calm water and perfect for eating fish and chips in front of the sea wall, we also adventured down to Gowa rock which is a truly world class beach and well worth the walk down. We were lucky enough to catch some local regattas and Summer fetes. It is such a lovely part of the world I found myself looking for farmhouses in the area to buy- it really made an impression. Maybe in a few years! Thanks Piers and Sue for everything, you have something very special there. x

“Relaxation and tranquility”

Set in beautiful country side the Barn was everything we wanted a charming, peaceful and fully equipped cottage. Piers and Sue made sure everything was perfect from the welcome hamper to ensuring where to get the freshest breakfast eggs from (still warm)! There are many wonderful walks to be had from the Barn most with a welcome pub en route. If you do wish to eat out there are various good pubs Beasands has ‘the shack’ where it is all about the freshness of the days catch but don’t forget to take your own wine.
Then at the end of the day you can sit outside on the patio and relax in beautiful silence save the odd hoot from the owl in the tree nearby. I would thoroughly recommend The Barn and would thank both Piers and Sue in letting us share their farm for a week. ps the sausages were fantastic!

“Idyllic family holiday”

From the welcome basket, the beautiful barn renovation, the thought and attention to detail from our hosts, the amazing farm and its animals, to the beautiful surroundings, this was a perfect family holiday location. I can't speak highly enough of the barn. Our two under fives loved it, and it felt like a true home from home. We have already started planning a return visit.

“Peaceful and homely with great hosts”

The barn is fitted out beautifully and is more like a home than a holiday let. Hot water a-plenty and everything there you might need. The special welcome basket was super and we loved the comfy garden chairs.
The barn is only about five minutes from the beach at Slapton Sands or Beesands.
Peirs' ambition is to go green "off grid". They have their own new borehole and a vast photo-cell array. So you will be bathing in "spring water" heated [lots] by the sun. There's more to come he says!
The livestock was interesting, but the rotter had sold all his sausages for now. We enjoyed collecting the warm fresh eggs for breakfast though.
South Hams is lovely. We enjoyed the small roads and the beautiful South Devon countryside. To get there, use Peirs' instructions.

All in all Cotmore Farm's Barn is a great place to stay.
