Stayed at Barnfield B & B for one night during a cycling holiday. It was a lovely place to stay with a very comfortable room, welcoming hosts and delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the full vegetarian breakfast with a delicious homemade veggie burger. The bed was particularly comfortable and the individual decor of the room made it a really special B & B experience.

We were made to feel very welcome by Stephen and Mary who were extremely accommodating and helpful. The rooms and location are excellent and breakfast was perfect with delicious fresh fruit and coffee and Stephen's wonderful smoked salmon scrambled eggs. All in all a great experience and highly recommended!

We stayed at this 2-bedroom B&B for 6 nights, and it was the perfect base for walking the SWCP sections between Heybrook Bay and Dartmouth.
Location: 8-10 minutes walk from Kingsbridge town centre / bus station, and the nearest bus stop only 100 m away.
Friendly and easy hosts, quality breakfast served, well equipped room, nice price, absolutely recommendable.

Staying at Higher Barnfield is an artistic eperience. Mary has managed almost the impossible in terms of the artistry. Each room including the kitchen reflects her genius in contrasting and complementing very strong colour together with shape and fabric or materiel. Even the real fruit salad breakfast was presented so beautifully, in fact, so well that I waited a moment before devouring it. Stephen's real wholemeal bread is fit for the seasoned connoisseur making this B&B
a real gem!

Stayed beginning of Oct 2012, We (couple were warmly welcomed and we chose the red room. It was spacious and full of character. Bed was very comfortable and warm at night, had a great nights sleep. Flapjack in the room was delicious. Breakfast was wonderfu - fresh, cooked to order and not rushed. Stephen and his wife were very friendly, accommodating as nothing was too much trouble. Nice 'at home' feel made us feel relaxed and would definitely stay there again.
