The farm is tucked away at the end of a small road. We were welcommed by Ken who was working in the stables. He showed us our room which was absolutly lovely with a view over the Farm and the garden. Marion made us some tea while we visited the stables. It was birthing month and there were loads of baby sheep (one just been born in the morning) and little cows. Ken was happy to explain and show us around.
The full english breakfast was lovely and we did not need any food for the rest of the day :-). We had a table to our own with the view out of the window towards the stables. You could hear the sheep waiting for their breakfast too.
We had a lovely time there and will defenitivly go back again.

Room Tip: all rooms are lovely :-)

This was my second stay at Shute Farm, after a trip with my son (then aged 7) 2 years ago. This time my husband joined us and we had the 'family room': simple, clean and cosy with one double bed and one single plus little en-suite shower. It was great to be on a proper working farm with calves to visit, eggs to search for, hills to climb and owls to listen out for at night. Marion magicked delicious cooked breakfasts (eaten sociably with other guests at the table) and was very accommodating to our son, a fussy eater. The farm is tucked away a short drive from some lovely beaches (Hope Cove was our favourite family-friendly one) so it all made for an enjoyable and memorable summer break. We'll be back again in the spring to 'help' with the lambs.

We've now stayed at Shute farm for the May bank holiday weekend two years in a row and really enjoyed the hospitality and peaceful surroundings both times. Marion (who runs the B&B) is very friendly and practical and makes probably the best cooked breakfasts we've had in any hotel or guest house. This year we brought our 6 month old daughter and we had a family room (with a cot) - was very comfy and had nice views out of the windows of the surrounding fields. Can highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a peaceful, friendly B&B and a superb breakfast at a good price!

We spent a night at this lovely farm and found our hosts Ken and Marion very friendly and helpful. It is a working farm with sheep cows and chickens and would, i think, appeal to children. The accomodation is very good and so was breakfast. It is definitely one to recommend if travelling in the area. Web; www.shutefarm.co.uk
