We were delighted with the homeliness during our stay in this exquisite conversion. The food was super and we could relax in the house and terrace as if it were our own. Rosemary kindly helped us with lots of excellent recommendations for eating out. The garden is a wildlife haven too and the dogs lots of fun. We will certainly come again.

I went to Auton Court with my daughter who had just arrived from New zealand and my 3 year old grandson for 2 nights. I can't praise the stay enough. We were made extremely welcome and the accomodation was out of this world. The bedrooms were fantastic and overlooked beautiful open countryside. Although it was extremely cold we were wonderfully warm with underfloor heating upstairs and a log burner in the sitting room. One evening we got a takeaway supper and ate it in the dining room next to the Xmas tree! My grandson loved it and had great fun feeding the horses and playing with the dogs. It is a real home from home in delicious suroundings.

Don't be put off if you don't have a dog. The on-suite room we stayed it was immaculate. Rosemary has furnished the rooms with better-than-average furniture and her attention to detail is continued in the service and food supplied. The setting is remote, I would not suggest you try walking to the local pubs. The area is both beautiful and interesting so if it's B&B you want it would be difficult to find somewhere better to stay.

After having to spend a horrendous night at a filthy so-called "holiday chalet" Beachdown Holiday Chalets in Challaborough Bay, we were forced to leave this hovel and seek help from Kingsbridge Information Centre. They luckily referred us to Auton Court having confirmed the lady there had accommodation for us for the rest of our holiday week - we were overjoyed when we finally found the house, a lovely barn conversion and two beautiful dogs to greet us - a treat for our own little dog! Rosemary our host was extremely welcoming in every way and when we saw our room with en-suite bathroom we were over the moon after having to endure such an awful experience with our original accommodation. Lovely hearty breakfast which set us up for the day ahead. We would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast which is also set in gorgeous Devon countryside.

We decided to stay at Auton Court as we needed somewhere that allowed dogs to stay, and I'm pleased to report that he was made as welcome as we were. Rosemary had a good knowledge of where to take him for walks as well!
This is a beautiful barn converstion in a quiet location. The room was modern with a lovely contempory en suite shower room. Despite our hairy mutt, it was kept impecabbly clean.
Loved the warm fruit cooked in the aga for breakfast as well as the tasty full english.
We commonly take our dog on hols with us in the uk and this was the best dog friendly B+B we've stayed in. We were in Devon for a wedding and stayed in a nearby hotel for the night of the wedding (kindly provided by the bride and groom) which I believe was 3x the price of this B+B but we were glad to get back to Auton court for the rest of our stay!
Next time we're in Devon we'll definately be back.
