Well worth a vist after a walk on the moor. We were in a large group and made to feel very welcome. Nice set up inside and this is a good pub to go to. Give it a try!

“More than just honest pub grub”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

We popped in for an evening meal and were treated to some of the best pub food that my family has had in a long long time. All food is advertised as locally soured and it most certainly lived up to its claims. We had starters of tempura Veg and sliced squid and both were devine. Its the easiest veg our boy has ever been co-erced into eating! Then for the main we had a Chicken and Leek pie and the Belly Pork they were a sensation! I am looking forward to returning as soon as possible. A huge thank you to the staff also who were really friendly

“Impressed”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Was recomended to eat here by a friend so we walked down and it was alot different from how i remembered it. Smartly done out interior and a relaxed atmosphere. Menu interesting and varied which sets it apart from most pubs. I had calamari followed by paella which was packed with flavour. The classic pub dishes the rest of the table had were really well cooked as well. Overall suitably impressed and looking forward to eating there again.

“Fantastic experience”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We called in to this lovely pub for a few drinks and a meal during a trip to Devon, the staff were extremely friendly and accomodating! But the food was outstanding! WSe had the mussels and soft shell crab to start and followed by paella, it was extremely well cooked and tasty and the service was excellent and very reasonably priced.

A great experience was had by the four of us, we would definitely recommend it!
