We have now stayed at The Buckland Tout-Saints Hotel four times and we just can't wait to stay again. Originally we were looking for somewhere lovely to stay with our small (well behaved) dog. We were thrilled with the warm and relaxed atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and welcoming. Helen and 'the team' couldn't be better. The marvelous, fabulously delicious food is simply the best! On our first stay we had the lovely bar all to ourselves and as the chef walked through he took time to explain to us about the wild garlic flowers which are dipped and fried and taste wonderful. Harry our dog was delighted when the receptionist brought him a sausage for his breakfast! He loved his stay as much as we did. Any time of year this beautiful place is well worth a visit.

We loved the look of the house and the beautiful setting. The cream tea that came with our deal was superb: warm scones and thick cream by a log fire. All of the food we had was superb. We had one dinner included but decided to eat in the hotel for a second night because we were so impressed by the food. The atmosphere in the dining room was enhanced by the tall candles and the panelled walls.
Less good was when the waiter took our wine away after pouring it and did not return to recharge our glasses. Our room, Bluebell, was an attic room, and not very warm. I was disappointed in the room although there were some delightful touches (apples as well as biscuits). For visitors from abroad it would provide a typical English experience,,,both good and bad! The reception staff were very friendly and pleasant and I would return, but to a better room,

Room Tip: Bluebell (room 11) is up 35 steps and then has steps up to the bathroom - not suitable for those who...

We had booked late and I telephoned to ask about check in times and Rachael on reception was extremely helpful and asked about allergies. I menioned it was our wedding anniversary.

When we arrived after a long journey (the hotel is set in rural countryside and therefore required traversing narrow lanes, but marked very well, I would advise looking at a map and not relying on sat nav as this could make it a longer journey as we found on our return journey!) we were greeted by Rachael and our bags were taken to our room, but we were also informed that we had been upgraded to a suite. Now thats what I call customer service.

The cream tea, dinner and breakfast was absolutely first class and many thanks to all the staf, but william was very attentive and looked after us very well.

I would say that this was one of the best short breaks we have had and would recommend this place any time of the year.

Look forward to visiting again soon.

What a place to find. You def need a sat nav. But once there the hotel and restaurant are spot on.The surrounding countryside is beautiful. The food is very good for both breakfast and dinner. Can not fault it. The staff are very attentive and service is with a smile. The second night of our stay we were given a room upgrade without asking for one. The first room was nice even with the many stairs to get to it. (room 15), but the upgraded room was just lovely. No complaints. 1st room on the right on the 1st landing. We would go here again. One couple there were on their 4th visit.

Room Tip: Phone the hotel direct and book through them. Then ask about the rooms...

We were married here, and we could not fault a thing. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the staff were so helpful. We stayed in the bridal suite - Camelia, which was absolutely stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had exclusive use so it really did feel like it was ours for the day. Buckland Tout Saints has such a lovely atmosphere, we felt right at home here. Will be going back for our anniversary, if not before!

Room Tip: Camelia suite is the best!
